Police Blotter: Police Blotter 8/6-8/9

Sunday, August 6

After 1:00 a.m. police respond to a domestic dispute on Avenue A that resulted from an argument about car titles.

At 9:11 a.m., police investigate a report of "a red vehicle with a spoiler driviing" fast on Dock Hill Rd. Police advised driver when located at the riverfront park.

Between 1:42 p.m. and 3:45 p.m., police issue five tickets for parking without a permit at the riverfront.

At 4:50 p.m., police told group of juveniles reported to be throwing garbage into the street to clean up the sidewalk in that area of Hudson Street.

At 8:10 p.m., police assist the town police in an arrest for criminal mischief.


Monday, August 7

At 2:20 a.m., police assist the town police responding to a report of a stabbing on Highland Avenue. Male victim received minor injuries in a domestic dispute. Village officer returns to town police station to do a prisoner check.

At 5:50 p.m., police respond to a report of a silver vehicle with four females inside throwing water balloons at people on Hudson street. When police stopped a vehicle with four teenage girls in it and asked who was throwing water balloons, the officer was told 'we all are." Police noticed a laundry basket in the back seat filled with water balloons. The driver of the car was ticketed for putting garbage in the street. The officer took the basket and later popped all the balloons.


Tuesday, August 8


Shortly before 1 a.m., police respond to the automatic alarm at Cornwall-on-Hudson Elementary School. There is no evidence of illegal entry and a search of the building turns up nothing.

At 9:28 p.m., police tell a group of juveniles to leave the Cumberland Farms parking lot.

At 10:54 p.m., police respond to a complaint of a noisy party on Lafayette Street that was a wiffle ball game.

At 11:03 p.m., police respond to a report of noisy kids at the elementary school playground and told them to move along.

At 11:12 p.m., police tell a group of people at the bandstand to move along.


Wednesday, August 9

At 4:49 p.m., police take a report on a vehicle accident on Route 9W earlier in the day.

At 6:11 p.m., police tell a group of juveniles to move from Cumberland Farms.

At 8:23 p.m., police tell a group of juveniles to move from the parking lot of the DB Mart.
