Monday, May 11
1:27 a.m.  Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 32.

12:36 p.m.  Police issue a traffic ticket to a driver on Route 32.

3:31 p.m.  Police respond to a report that the dugout at the senior field of the Little League had been spray painted.

3:48 p.m.  Police respond to a father-son domestic dispute.

5:31 p.m. Police assist village police with a reported rattlesnake in the basement of a residence on Deer Hill Road.  Snake not found.

10:17-11:43 p.m.  Police issue traffic tickets to three drivers on Route 32 and Quaker Avenue.


Tuesday, May 12
3:45 a.m.  Police respond to a report of a suicidal female along with Covac, who transports her to the hospital.

5:40 a.m.  Police respond to a report of a disheveled man walking on Pleasant Hill Road.  Police met up with the subject who is wearing one slipper and is covered from head to toe in mud.  He states that around 1 a.m. he went for a walk and got lost in the woods and fell into a swamp.  Covac transports the subject to the hospital to get checked out.

3:28 p.m.  Police respond to a complaint involving a resident who feeds and neuters stray cats and a neighbor who picks the cats up and takes them to another location and re-releases them.  One of the cats apparently was hit by a car and killed.  Animal control officer advises that stray cats may be brought to the Newburgh SPCA so they can care for them.

5:05 p.m.  Police respond to a husband-wife domestic dispute.

6:40 p.m.  Police respond along with Covac for report of a child whose fingers were caught in the sofa.

7:50 p.m.  Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 9W and ramp to Angola Road.


Wednesday, May 13
12:20 a.m.  Police respond to a report of an injured deer on Route 94 and dispatch the injured animal.

3:57 p.m.  Police investigate a report by an 11-year-old girl who says she is getting unwanted calls on her cell phone.

3:43 p.m.  Police assist village police with a traffic stop.

7:32 p.m.  Police respond to a report of a subject bit by the neighbor’s dog.

7:40 p.m. Police charge two 17-year-olds, one from Cornwall and one from Cornwall-on-Hudson, with disorderly conduct after they got into a fistfight at the basketball courts when one accused the other of taking $100 from his wallet.  A large crowd had gathered to watch the fight and police close the courts for the night and order everyone to depart.


Thursday, May 14
12:00 midnight   Police take a report of a domestic dispute from two females who came into the station.

6:17 a.m.  Police issue a traffic ticket to a driver on Route 32.

8:19 a.m.  Police issue a traffic ticket to a driver on Willow Avenue.

8:42 a.m.   Police issue a traffic ticket to a driver on Willow Avenue.

9:46 a.m.  Police take a report of a side mirror broken off a truck parked on Main Street.

12:35 p.m.  Police investigate a report of a mailbox on Mailler Avenue that someone had removed from the post and flattened.

1:27 p.m.  Police issue a ticket to a driver on Quaker Avenue for an inadequate muffler.

2:35 p.m.  Police investigate a report of the larceny of an item at the high school.

3:15 p.m.  Police take a report from a subject who said he had a verbal dispute in the high school parking lot.

4:42 p.m.  Police issue two tickets to a driver on Route 9W.

9:54 p.m.  Police take a report from a high school student who said that his iPhone was taken from his gym locker at school.

10:40 p.m.  Police respond to a domestic dispute.
