Monday
Shortly after midnight, police told two juveniles to move on from the steps of a private residence at 259 Hudson Street. At 3 a.m., police asked a woman who had parked illegally at the riverfront and who was at the gazebo with a second person, to leave the park.
At 12:30 p.m. police investiagted a ruptured gas line at Hudson and Payson Streets. Central Hudson was contacted and the area was closed to traffic for 15 minutes.
At 12:50 p.m. a caller reported that a baby fawn had been struck on Bayview Ave. Investigating officer found the fawn had died and called DPW to remove it.
At 4:30 p.m. police took a report that a residence at 25 Duncan Avenue had been egged overnight and the owner reported hearing kids outside in the night.
Tuesday
At 6:11 p.m. police advised juveniles sitting under the construction equipment at Cornwall-on-Hudson elementary school to move on and their parents were contacted to express safety concerns.
Wednesday
Shortly after midnight police responded to a report that some juveniles were making noise in the woods off River Avenue but noone was located. An hour later, police advised a group of youths that they were trespassing in the woods/beach area north of the village garage on Shore Road and warned that they would be arrested if found there again.
Shortly before 6 p.m. police told a group of juveniles to leave the area behind the elementary school.
At 7:25 p.m. police intervened in a dispute between a man and woman over car license plates.
At 9:19 p.m. police told juveniles and a 19-year-old man to move along from the area near Split Endz.
At 10:42, police investigate a report of juveniles drinking in the vacant lot between River Ave and C-O-H elementary school. A 19-year-old male was found with a 40-oz. bottle of Crazy Stallion malt liquor. He refused to cooperate and was restrained, then taken to the station where he was charged with unlawful possession of an alcoholic beverage under the age of 31.
Thursday
Shortly before 2 p.m. police told juveniles skateboarding at the elementary school to move on.
At 3 p.m. police advised a man who was lounging in the riverfront gazebo with a lawn chair, guitar and cigarettes that the gazebo was closed until its dedication on August 10.
At 7:43 p.m. police received a report of loitering at 259 Hudson Street.
Just after 8 p.m. police investigated a report that 2 males and a female were seen walking away from a home on Avenue A with a fishing pole. No one was home at the residence and police could not verify loss.
At 9:52 and 10:30 p.m. police told a group of juveniles near Cumberland Farms to move along.
