Monday, May 4

8:42 a.m.  Police respond to a domestic dispute between two brothers.

10:53 a.m.  Police issue a ticket to the driver of a vehicle on Broadway.

12:32 p.m.  Police stop a vehicle on Route 32 to a loud exhaust and for failure to use a directional signal and ticket the driver for these offenses and for driving without a license.

2:58 p.m.  Police respond to a report of a vehicle on Clinton Street whose tires were slashed.

4:44 p.m.  Police respond to a mother-son domestic dispute.

4:59 p.m.  Police respond to a report of man who was assaulted by another male at the intersection of Main Street and Willow Avenue.  Subject said that his assailant fled in a blue Acura.

10:22 p.m.  Police issue a traffic ticket to a driver on Route 32.


Tuesday, May 5
6:00 a.m.  Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 9W and Continental Road.

7:59 a.m.  Police issue two tickets to a driver on Angola Road, one for passing in a no-passing zone and one for failure to keep right.

10:48-11:01 a.m.  Police issue two tickets to drivers on Hudson Street.

11:30 a.m.  Police issue a ticket to a driver on Elm Street.

3:00 p.m.  Police arrest 54-year-old Joan Maher on a bench warrant from the village of Monroe.

4:00 p.m.  Police stop a vehicle on Route 9W for a traffic violation and ticket him for the violation and for driving without a license.

5:27 p.m.  Police respond to a report of a bear in the yard of a resident on Meadowbrook Lane, eating fish out of a koi pond.  Bear is not found.

6:45 p.m.  Police respond to a report of a bear in the area of Cornwall high school and do not find it.

7:08 p.m.  Police charge 50-year-old Eldrich Delguadio, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, with second-degree harassment for allegedly making harassing phone calls.

7:28 p.m.  Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 9W near the flagpole in which two persons in the vehicle complain of had injuries.

9:35 p.m.  Police take a report of harassment.


Wednesday, May 6
6:50 a.m.  Police investigate a report by a resident of Orrs Mills Road who says he became aware that items had been stolen from his vehicle overnight after a sanitation company contacted him when they found his abandoned wallet in a cul-de-sac in Washingtonville with no money in it.

8:59 a.m.  Police investigate a report of larceny from two unlocked vehicles parked in the driveway of a residence on Orrs Mills Road in which a Dell laptop was taken.

9:30 a.m.  Police investigate a report of money stolen from a parked vehicle in an unidentified location in Cornwall.

9:35 a.m.  Police respond to a report of a male who was firing at wild turkeys from his pick up truck while parked on Taylor Road. Negative results.

12:35 p.m.  Police charge 34-year-old Michael Martin, of New City, with third degree assault after he was picked up a warrant in Orangetown.

3:46 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for a traffic violation on Laurel Avenue.

4:30 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for a traffic violation on Route 32.

7:15 p.m.  Police take a report from a driver who said someone in a passing vehicle threw an object at his vehicle and broke its side view mirror.


Thursday, May 7

1:05 a.m.  Police respond when a car hit a pole on Route 94, knocking out power.

5:08 a.m.  Police issue a traffic ticket to a vehicle on Route 32.

9:45 a.m.  Police issue a ticket to a driver for driving 62 mph in a 45 mph zone on Walnut Street.

10:31 a.m.  Police respond to a complaint from a woman who says she is getting harassing text messages from an ex-boyfriend.

12:37 p.m.  Police respond to a report of two unruly dogs loose on a property on Twin Ponds Road but are unable to locate them.

2:22 p.m.  Police assist a large turtle as it crosses the roadway on Main Street.

2:41 p.m.  Police respond to a driver on Main Street who said that as he was coming into the traffic circle a reckless driver in a mini-van forced his vehicle off the roadway and he struck a stone post.

5:00 p.m.  Police charge Roberto Perez-Moran with driving without a license on Route 9W and impound his vehicle.

9:48 p.m.  Police charge an unidentified driver with driving without a license on Route 32 and impound his vehicle.

10:26 p.m.  Police investigate a window and light that was broken at a residence on Angola Road.

11:33 p.m.  Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Ardemore Street.


Friday, May 8
4:10 a.m.  Police and fire department respond to a reported garbage truck on fire and determine it was a blocked exhaust that was smoking.

6:50 a.m.  Police respond to a report of a bear in a driveway of a residence on Trinity Place eating garbage but it is gone on arrival.

8:20 a.m.  Police charge an unidentified driver on Quaker Avenue with driving without a license and impound his vehicle.

12:43 p.m.  Police issue a traffic ticket to a driver on Route 32.

1:12 p.m.  Police issue a traffic ticket to a driver on Route 32.

4:28 p.m.  Police respond to a motor vehicle accident in the parking lot of 45 Quaker Avenue.

3:54 p.m.  Police respond to a report of a domestic dispute between a man and a woman walking on Mt. Airy Road.

3:55 p.m.  Police investigate a report of a subject trying to cash a counterfeit check at a bank.

5:00 p.m.  Police respond to a report from Supervisor Quigley of a bear cub on the northbound ramp off Route 9W at the top loop near the Quaker Meeting House.  Bear is gone on arrival.

5:08 p.m.  Police respond to Wilson Place for a report of a bear that officer locates at the side door of a house where it appeared to be trying to gain entry.  The office chases the bear into the woods and is last seen crossing Angola Road and going into the woods.

5:53 p.m.  Police respond to a report of a jogger who was bitten by a dog that got loose from its residence on Maple Street.

6:04 p.m.  Police respond to a multiple reports of a bear in yards between Pozo Drive and Wilson Place.  Bear is chased into the woods and a DEC officer is contacted.

6:33 p.m.  Police respond to a minor motor vehicle accident that occurred when one car backed into a parked vehicle on Main Street.

6:59 p.m.  Police return to Pozo Drive for a report of a bear that had been treed by a dog.  The animal then climbed down and ran across Route 9W and into the woods.

9:17 p.m.  Police issue a traffic ticket to a driver on Route 32.

11:53 p.m.  Police issue a ticket on Route 94 to a driver going 54 mph in a 40 mph zone.


Saturday, May 9
8:07 a.m.  Police respond to a husband wife verbal domestic dispute.

11:46 a.m.  Police assist subject in getting his 16-year-old stepdaughter to return home.

1:40 p.m.  Police issue a ticket to a driver on Hudson Street.

4:20 p.m.  Police take a report from a subject who said he just met a girl in person with whom he had been in contact on the internet and afterward he receiving a harassing call from her boyfriend.


Sunday, May 10
2:51 a.m.  Police issue a ticket to a driver going 69 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 9W.

4:43 a.m.  Police issue a ticket to a driver going 80 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 32 and ticket him for driving without a license as well.

11:45 a.m.  Police investigate a report of a GPS stolen overnight from an unlocked vehicle parked on Main Street.

2:53 p.m.  Police investigate a report of a sign stolen from town hall.

8:35 p.m.  Police charge 43-year-old Patrick Kelly, of Cornwall, with public lewdness after he allegedly exposed himself in a lewd manner to a pedestrian on Main Street.
