Riverfest gets underway Saturday at Donahue Memorial Park. |
May 12, 2009
The RiverFest organizing committee is looking for some brave volunteers for its dunking tank at the 12th annual festival to be held June 6th at the Cornwall-on-Hudson riverfront.
If you’re not afraid of getting wet, please call Wynn Gold at 534-7622 and let him know that you are interested in being a “dunkee.”
The dunking tank is one of many attractions at this year’s RiverFest, held on the banks of Hudson River. Visitors to the free festival will be entertained by a line-up of musicians including 3-D, Nicole Hart & NRG, Hot Rod, Out of The Blue and Junket. Children will be able to get their faces painted or listen to storytellers. Free kayak rides will be offered to adults and children alike and everyone will enjoy checking out the arts and crafts vendors on the festival grounds.
Riverfest opens at 11 a.m.; the bands start playing at noon and keep going until 7 p.m. Bring a blanket or lawn chair to enjoy the day at beautiful Donahue Park in Cornwall-on Hudson. Log on to www.river-fest.com for up-to-date information.
