Police Blotter: December 31, 2006-January 3, 2007
Sunday, December 31
9:35 a.m. Police respond to a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle on Clark Avenue. The Ford Windstar’s passenger side door window was broken with tempered glass pieces all through the front of the vehicle and on the ground. The complainant sad that she did not have any valuables in the vehicle and nothing appeared to be missing. The officer finds two small rocks on the inside. Owner stated that she and her son collect rocks and she was not sure if the rocks belong to their collection. A neighbor said that he heard a noise about 3:00 a.m., looked out the window and did not see anything.
12:07 p.m. Police respond to a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle on Hudson Street. The driver’s side rear quarter panel window was broken, the driver’s side mirror was broken, and there was a mark on the driver’s door window as if something had hit it hard. Complainant said that nothing of value was inside and nothing appeared to have been taken. A neighbor said that about 3:00 a.m. he heard about four loud banging noises, looked outside but did not see anything.
2:52 p.m. Police respond to a report of shots fired on Deer Hill Road, and officer checks entire area and hears shots that appeared to be coming from the town of Cornwall.
7:42 p.m. Police receive a blue Pacific USA Kodiak bicycle that was found in the bushes in front of a residence on Hudson Street.
9:00 p.m. Police issue a summons for speeding on Shore Road to Bukuri Krasniqi, 29, of Cornwall.
9:40 p.m. Police respond to a report of a gun fired in the area of Storm King Avenue and report the noises appeared to be fireworks.
11:00 p.m. Police respond to a complaint of a dog barking on Bayview Avenue and advise owners to take the dog inside.
Monday, January 1
1:14 a.m. Police check for a child missing after the ball drop and find child walking along Hudson Street on his way home.
7:11 p.m. Police assist town police to locate a 15-year-old girl and transport her back to her residence.
9:25 p.m. Police issue a summons to Clifford Murray, 20, of New Windsor, for a traffic violation.
Tuesday, January 2
3:47 p.m. Police respond to a dumpster complaint on Maple Road where construction is being done.
Wednesday, January 3
3:22 p.m. Police respond to a report of a flag stolen from the Hudson Street Post Office. Postmaster stated this is the third time the flag was taken.
3:40 p.m. Police issue a summons for parking in the no parking zone outside the post office.
7:54 p.m. Police respond to a report of a wire down on Maple Road and find a cable wire that was possibly taken off the residence for renovation reasons. Officer moves the wire out of the way.
