4:04 a.m. Village police assist town police in a reported burglary in progress at the Shamrock Inn. The suspect, a 22-year-old village resident, is located in the basement hiding in the freezer and is placed under arrest by town police.
1:12 Police receive a report of dogs that have been barking for three hours and advise owners.
Monday, December 4
11:10 a.m. Police issue a summons to Susan Downey, 44, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, for a traffic violation.
11:30 p.m. Police receive a report of a truck missing from a resident’s driveway and issue an alert. State police respond that the truck was repossessed.
Tuesday, December 5
5:30 p.m. Police investigate a report by a mother and her14-year-old son who said he was assaulted as he was walking home on Academy Avenue by a male passerby who grabbed him by the hood and threw him to the ground. The other male began punching the victim repeatedly in the head and face and police photographed numerous abrasions and swelling on his face and a cut on his mouth. The injured teen said his attacker was wearing a dark-colored hoodie and, possibly, blue jeans. Police canvas area residents for information.
Wednesday, December 6
2:27 p.m. Police assist a disabled car on Hudson Street until a friend could bring a gas can.
5:00 p.m. Police respond to a medical call for an 84-year-old male feeling weak. Patient was treated by COVAC.
