To the Editor,
I want to thank town supervisor Quigley for arranging the delivery of 30 yards of topsoil to Laurel Crest Park this week. The Cornwall United Soccer Club had a parent who owns a local landscape company who used his equipment to spread the material. Yesterday evening (in the drizzle) we had a small but effective work crew using rakes to spread and level the areas with new topsoil. Seed will be spread today. Then, we let Mother Nature take over!
It is amazing what can be accomplished when the town and local organizations work together. This park, and the children who play in it, will be much better off for the small expense, time and effort. Thanks again for your contribution to the cause!
