Thursday, March 12
12:55 a.m. Police take a report from a man who is suspicious about his girlfriend.
11:33 a.m. Police dispatch an apparently rabid, disoriented raccoon on River Avenue.
11:37 a.m. Police assist Orange County sheriff investigate possible parole violation by parolee in the village who appeared to be intoxicated and is arrested by the sheriff’s department.
5:11 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket to a 49-year-old male driver from Wallkill on Shore Road.
Friday, March 13
3:29 p.m. Police assist town police in arresting James Lyle on a warrant. After he refused to answer the door, police gained entry and he is detained without incident.
11:12 p.m. Police respond to a report of a loud party on Lapanni Drive and interview 14 subjects between the ages of 16 and 18 who appeared to have been drinking. Their parents are notified to come pick them up. One 18-year-old male is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after he was found smoking the substance in a vehicle parked nearby.
Saturday, March 14
No summonses or arrests.
Sunday, March 15
6:52 p.m. Police issue a ticket to a vehicle without a parking permit at the riverfront.
6:54 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Hudson Street to an 18-year-old male driver from Cornwall.
Monday, March 16
9:37 a.m. Police respond with Covac to assist a 16-yaer-old male who fell in the shower and is transported to the hospital.
5:37 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Shore Road to a 38-year-old male from Wallkill.
10:50 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Willow Avenue to an 18-year-old male driver from Cornwall.
Tuesday, March 17
1:30 a.m. Police respond to a report of a barking dog on Bayview Avenue and speak with owner.
7:50 a.m. Police respond to a report of a loose dog on Cherry Avenue and return it to its owner.
10:11 a.m. Police respond to a report of a small child found alone on Homeland Avenue and canvas the area where they find a woman searching for her child. The woman explains that the child went out an unsecured door that had been pushed open by the dog. The mother is reunited with her child.
12:39 p.m. Police charge Frank Dominzuez, 25, of Newburgh, with driving without a license on River Avenue.
1:14 p.m. Police issue a ticket for an expired registration to a vehicle on River Avenue driven by a 29-year-old female from Newburgh.
1:17 p.m. Police issue a ticket on River Avenue to Arturo Ramos, 34, of Newburgh, for driving without a license.
4:45 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Hudson to a 19-year-old female from Cornwall.
6:25 p.m. Police issue a ticket for driving 43 mph in a 30 mph zone on Hudson Street to a 16-year-old female from Cornwall-on-Hudson.
6:59 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident without injuries at Second Street and Academy Avenue.
8:09 p.m. Police respond with Covac to a medical call in which a 5-year-old boy was having abdominal pain and trouble breathing.
Wednesday, March 19
12:14 p.m. Police respond to Cumberland Farms and speak with a 13-year-old male who was observed putting a candy bar in his pocket and advise the teen and his mother that he is no longer allowed in the store.
1:32 p.m. Police issue a ticket to the 37-year-old male driver of a vehicle that pulled out in front of a police car and nearly hit it.
Thursday, March 20
7:31 a.m. Police respond to a domestic dispute involving a child who didn’t want to go to school.
6:20 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Route 9W to a 41-year-old male from Newburgh.
7:26 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on First Street to a 54-yar-old female from Cornwall.
7:59 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Route 9W to a 25-year-old female from Wallkill.
8:20 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Hudson Street to a 19-year-old male from Monroe.
Friday, March 21
11:32 a.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Maple Road in which a vehicle slid off the roadway and hit a rock. Case turned over to the town police.
1:56 p.m. Police respond to a medical call with Covac.
2:32 p.m. Police issue a ticket to an 18-year-old male from Cornwall for driving 52 mph in a 30 mph zone on Hudson Street.
6:03 p.m. Police issue a ticket for driving 35 mph in a 25 mph zone on River Avenue to an unidentified driver.
6:08 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Shore Road to an 18-year-old male from Cornwall.
10:03 p.m. Police respond to a medical call with Covac.

Since we live on Hudson St, and watch the cars ZOOM by, a big THANK YOU to the police for patroling and ticketing speeders! Maybe we can pull out of our driveway without taking our lives into our hands.
