Friday, March 13
12:10 p.m. Police conduct a community notification of the new address of a Level 2 sex offender. Residents are given a picture of the subject and directed to the DCJS website for more information.
3:11 p.m. Police issue a ticket to a driver on Route 94 for driving 58 mph in a 40 mph zone.
3:19 p.m. Police respond to a report of a bus full of students throwing things out of the window, stop the bus on Route 32 and advise the students that such activity is unlawful.
3:35 p.m. Police arrest James Lyle, 34, of Cornwall, on a bench warrant issued by Orange County court.
4:46 p.m. Police assist a caller who is having behavior problems with his 16-year-old son and advise him of the PINS program.
4:53 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Route 9W.
8:20 p.m. Police assist a man whose 19-year-old daughter was missing and depressed. Subject is located in New Jersey.
10:10 p.m. Police take a report of an antenna ripped off a vehicle.
Saturday, March 14
1:02 a.m. Police respond to a noise complaint at the Shamrock Tavern.
4:32 a.m. Police respond to a report of an injured deer on Main Street that was standing in the middle of the street. The officers wrangled the deer in the direction of Clinton Street and way from traffic. Within a few minutes the deer was gone.
2:50 p.m. Police issue a speeding ticket on Mineral Springs Road.
3:00 p.m. Police issue a speeding ticket on Angola Road.
3:01 p.m. Police stop a vehicle driving an estimated 70 mph on Route 9W and charge the driver, 27-year-old Nicole Betrand, of New Windsor, with driving with a suspended license and with speeding.
5:22 p.m. Police issue a ticket for an inadequate muffler and for a cracked windshield to a driver on Route 32.
5:37 p.m. Police stop a driver on Route 32 for a traffic infraction, ticket her, and arrest her passenger, Kyle Devlin, 22, of Monroe for possession of hypodemic needles and possession of a small quantity of cocaine.
6:25 p.m. Police investigate a larceny at the CVS store in which a woman took several items and placed them in a purple bag then get into a van driven by a male who drove off with the suspect.
6:37 p.m. Police issue a summons for speeding on Angola Road.
7:47 p.m. Police charge Robert Rankin, 45, of Montgomery, with driving with a revoked license after stopping him on Orrs Mills Road for driving with an excessively loud muffler.
10:50 p.m. Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Taylor Road.
11:37 p.m. Police investigate a report by subjects who say that someone pulled up to them and shoved a flashlight in their face and claimed to be the police.
Sunday, March 15
4:43 a.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 32.
7:08 a.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on the Thruway.
9:07 a.m. Police issue a ticket for driving 61 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 9W.
7:30 a.m. Police attempt to locate a tracker trailer that knocked over a street sign at Willow and Main Street.
1:09 p.m. Police respond to a complaint of a teenage couple who meet by walking across a neighbor’s property every day and the neighbor wants them to stop.
2:19 p.m. Police issue a ticket for speeding and a ticket for an expired inspection to a driver on Route 32.
2:38 p.m. Police issue a ticket for an inadequate muffler and a ticket for driving without a license to a driver on Willow Avenue.
5:08 p.m. Police issue a ticket to a driver on Route 32.
5:18 p.m. Police issue a ticket for a traffic violation and a ticket for driving without a license to a vehicle operator on Route 9W and impound the vehicle.
5:37 p.m. Police ticket a driver for speeding on Route 32.
5:50 p.m Police respond to a minor motor vehicle accident.
