Monday, March 9
1:20 a.m. Police respond to a report of a 16-year-old who didn’t return home and while the officer is at the house the teen is located.
9:29 a.m. Police issue a ticket for driving 66 mph in a 40 mph zone of Angola Road to a woman who says she was running late to work.
11:33 a.m. Police respond to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Orrs Mills Road near the railroad trestle and observe a silver car off the road, heavily damaged and unoccupied. The officer locates the driver standing next to the guardrail with a bleeding head injury. The man says he swerved to avoid a deer and lost control. Covac transports man to the hospital.
12:01 p.m. Police respond to Hudson Street and Little League Drive for a minor motor vehicle accident.
2:32 p.m. Police assist a disabled vehicle on Route 32 that had run out of gas and the driver was waiting for a friend to bring her gas.
2:55 p.m. Police respond to Cornwall hospital to assist Newburgh police with an unruly patient they had brought to the emergency room.
7:12 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket to a village on Old Forge Hill Road.
8:56 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Rout 94.
9:30 p.m. Police respond to a complaint and check area along Route 94 for juveniles who threw eggs at a vehicle.
Tuesday, March 10
11:14 a.m. Police issue a traffic ticket to a driver on Route 9W for failure to wear a seat belt.
4:24 p.m. Police arrest Matthew Roach, 35, of Cornwall, on Warrant from the town of New Paltz police.
5:34 p.m. Police assist a driver whose vehicle is disabled in the middle of the roadway on Route 9W.
8:11 p.m. Police issue a ticket for speeding on Route 9W.
Wednesday, March 11
3:18 a.m. Police respond to Cornwall hospital for a patient under the influence who had become irate while being transported to the emergency room.
7:14 a.m. Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on 9W.
1:16 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket to a vehicle on Route 32 for failure to have an inspection sticker.
5:08 p.m. Police charge a 29-year-old male from New Windsor with second degree harassment who told police he slapped his wife after she told him she didn’t want to be with him anymore.
5:35 p.m. Police arrest 22-year-old Negron Neftali of New York City after he turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.
Thursday, March 12
8:44 a.m. Police respond to a report from the maintenance person at 34 Quaker Avenue who reports that she has found broken florescent lights in the entrance lobby for the past two days.
10:59 a.m. Police issue a ticket to the driver of a vehicle with non-functioning brake lights.
11:27 a.m. Police respond to Orrs Mills Road where a driver struck and killed a dog that ran into the roadway.
12:33 p.m. Police issue a ticket to the driver of a vehicle with non-functioning brake lights.
4:01 p.m. Police respond to a homeowner who came home to find a black dog in her driveway eating chicken bones that they had thrown in the garbage. She was afraid to get out of her vehicle. Police take the dog and transport it to the Newburgh SPCA.
5:30 p.m. Police arrest 26-year-old Matthew Romas of Las Vegas who turned himself in on a bench warrant.
8:45 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket to the driver of a vehicle on Route 94.
