The Hudson Highlands Nature Museum, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating responsible caretakers of the environment, is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas W. Gordon to the Museum’s Board of Trustees.
With nearly three decades of experience working on Wall Street and in finance, Mr. Gordon brings to the museum board strong business acumen and a commitment to giving back to the community. He has been a nature lover since his early childhood in Long Island, and avidly supports the museum’s environmental education goals. Currently, Mr. Gordon is studying survivor skills and Native American philosophy at the Tracker School in New Jersey.
“It is with great pleasure that we welcome Tom Gordon to the museum’s board of trustees,” said Jackie Grant, Executive Director of the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum. “His passion for the outdoors and understanding of the community makes him an excellent fit for the museum board. We look forward to working with him,” Grant continued.
Mr. Gordon lives in Cornwall-on-Hudson with his wife Virginia. Their children Sara and Thomas are attending college. He is also a member of the board of directors of the newly-formed Cornwall Community Cooperative.
