Monday, February 16
2:07 a.m. Police issue a traffic ticket to a driver on Route 32.
2:17 p.m. Police take a report of a vehicle that had been keyed during the night.
2:35 p.m. Police assist with an disorderly patient at Cornwall hospital who appears to be intoxicated and who wants to return to Highland Falls, where he is living in a tent in the woods.
3:06 p.m. Police respond to a dispute between neighbors about a child’s ball rolling onto the neighbor’s property.
4:13 p.m. Police respond to a report of an injured deer and attempt to approach the animal when it runs off.
4:49 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket to a driver on Continental Road.
9:10 p.m. Police respond to Route 218 at the High Point for a reported brush fire caused by a motor vehicle driving over the cliff. Officer checked the area and could find an impact point for any type of collision. The fire department contacted the state police aviation unit to see if they could confirm if a motor vehicle had gone over the cliff. The helicopter crew did not locate any motor vehicle, just an area which was one fire. The New York State Park Police responded and took over the case. Cornwall fire chief Pat Hines did find an accelerant that had been used to start the fire.
Tuesday, February 17
12:47 a.m. Police issue a traffic ticket to a driver on Route 32.
3:43 a.m. Police issue a traffic ticket to a driver on Route 32.
6:19 a.m. Police investigate a report of a vehicle reportedly damaged by the subject’s ex-girlfriend.
6:43 a.m. Police respond to a report of an injured deer on Route 9W and dispatch the animal.
11:49 a.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Quaker Avenue that occurred when a turning garbage truck struck another vehicle.
1:32 p.m. Police stop a vehicle with a loud exhaust and charge the driver, Michael Mancini, 28, of Cornwall, with driving with a suspended license and with an inadequate muffler.
3:13 p.m. Police respond to Route 32 for a two-car motor vehicle accident with no injuries.
4:38 p.m. Police assist the Mobile Mental Health Unit locate a patient.
6:36 p.m. Police issue parking tickets to several cars in the fire lane at the high school.
7:20 p.m. Police investigate a report of a damaged mailbox at a residence on Windsor Lane.
9:23 p.m. Police respond to a report of a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 94 and dispatch the injured animal.
11:44-55 p.m. Police issue two traffic tickets on Route 32.
Wednesday, February 18
5:28 a.m. Police respond to a rollover accident on the Thruway.
6:56 a.m. Police assist Highland Falls police who are handling a traffic accident and close Route 9W southbound.
8:06 a.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle rollover on Route 9W between Mountain Road and Route 293.
4:33 p.m. Police issue two traffic tickets to a driver on Route 32.
4:45 p.m. Police issue two traffic tickets to a driver on Route 32.
5:28 p.m. Police respond to a one-car motor vehicle rollover on Mineral Springs Road and assist Covac and fire department with two occupants who had minor minor injuries.
9:15 p.m. Police investigate a report of a 16-year-old missing girl who left residence with a bag filled with her belongings.
Thursday, February 19
8:46 a.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident with minor injuries.
12:04 p.m. Police issue a ticket for driving 58 mph in a 30 mph zone on Route 32.
4:13 p.m. Police issue two traffic tickets to a driver on Route 9W.
4:36 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket to a driver on Pleasant Hill Road.
5:11 p.m. Police issue a ticket for driving without a license and impound driver’s vehicle.
