Sunday, February 15
1:53 a.m. Police respond to a complaint of a barking dog that is loose in a yard on Deer Hill Road.
Monday, February 16
2:35 p.m. Police assist town police with a drunk and disorderly man in the parking lot of Cornwall hospital. Subject is driven home to Highland Falls by his mother.
9:54 p.m. Police respond to a tenant dispute over the use of a laundry room.
Tuesday, February 17
No summonses or arrests.
Wednesday, February 18
5:59 a.m. Police assist a disabled vehicle on Route 9W.
11:26 a.m. Police respond to a report of a dump driven recklessly on Homeland Avenue and speak with driver who denies charge.
6:57 p.m. Police respond to a mental health call.
10:44 p.m. Police observe a car with hour subjects in the rear parking lot of the DB Mart and, upon smelling marijuana, search the vehicle with no results.
11:05 p.m. While at the DB Mart, police observe a 59-year-old female pull into the parking lot and officer smells a strong odor of alcohol coming from her. Police give the woman a ride home.
Comments:
To me, the above seems like "selective law enforcement"......Why was the "59 year old female" with a strong odor of alcohol given a ride home?? If that was me, or just about anyone else, there would have been an arrested for DWI.....I'm sorry, it just seems to be a bit unfair....

I agree, Jim. If I thought that it was being done out of compassion and concern I *might* go for it. But when was the last time they gave a troubled youth a ride home instead of busting him/her for some minor offense? Naahh, I ain't buyin' it...
