To The Editor:
This year we have five candidates for the Village Board. I would like to recommend Mr. Douglas Vatter for Trustee. Mr. Vatter has extensive business experience and can bring a wealth of financial expertise to the government of the Village. I had the opportunity to do business with him and can personally attest to his integrity. He is a decisive, no-nonsense individual.
Doug is a lifelong resident, which is important with regard to preserving the character of the village. He will make sure that planning and zoning are given due attention, while making sure that the process for remodeling a house is not made into a challenge for ordinary homeowners.
Vatter is a results-oriented leader. I think the most significant thing he can do is offer high level advice and expertise to the Mayor, Board and department heads while having sense enough not to interfere with daily operations. He has managed people his entire adult life and can bring real value to the Village and the Board.
