Friday, January 16
8:27 a.m. Police assist with a motor vehicle accident with property damage on Route 9W at the top of Storm King Mountain.
1:48 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket to a vehicle on Pleasant Hills Road.
1:58-2:11 p.m. Police issue two traffic tickets on Route 32.
5:17 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket to a vehicle on Mill Street.
8:46 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket to a vehicle on Fontaine Drive.
8:59 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket to a vehicle on Manor Drive.
Saturday, January 17
11:19 a.m. Police charge xxx with driving with a suspended license on Laurel Avenue.
11:45 a.m. Police investigate a report of a car driving slowly on Taylor Road taking pictures. Owner of the vehicle said he was videotaping in the area because it is so beautiful and he didn’t know it was wrong. Advised it wasn’t but had to check on the activity.
8:11 p.m. Police assist village police with a motor vehicle accident on Hudson Street involving one moving vehicle and two parked cars.
Sunday, January 18
12:52 a.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Angola Road in which the driver says he was traveling west when several deer ran across the road and he was unable to avoid contact them. He hit one or more, then lost control of his vehicle, went off the roadway and hit a utility pole. The force of the collision broke the pole in half. After checking the driver’s license, police charged him, Frank Carretta, 31, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, with driving with a suspended license.
5:12 a.m. Police respond to a report of a car off the roadway on Angola Road and find an unoccupied vehicle.
6:42 a.m. Police assist a disabled vehicle on Route 9W.
8:40 a.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 9W near the mountaintop and charge the driver with driving with a permit only and without a licensed operator with him.
9:30 a.m. Police assist a motorist who had slid off the roadway on Shore Road between Castaways and Ceeley’s Bait Shop.
11:25 a.m. Police charge Cesar Mora, 22, of Newburgh, with driving with a suspended license and with an expired inspection ticket.
4:14 p.m. Police assist a motorist move vehicle from roadway on Angola Road.
5:36 p.m. Police responds to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 32.
6:23 p.m. Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 94.
8:57 p.m. Police issue two traffic tickets to a vehicle on Poplar Street.
9:06 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Mine Hill Road that occurred when the car slid off the roadway and into a tree.
11:16 p.m. Police respond to a domestic dispute between a man and wife.
