The Cornwall junior varsity football team won its first game of the season on Thursday, defeating the team from Kingston 19-14.
Justin VanWygerden scored two touchdown runs and Tyree Smallwood picked up one touchdown run for Cornwall.
The Cornwall varsity team plays John Burke Catholic high school Friday night at 7 p.m. in Cornwall.
