General News: Cuffe in National Championship Race

Aisling Cuffe finished 12th in the National Cross-Country Championship race held in San Diego, California on Saturday, December 13.
Cuffe, a sophomore at Cornwall Central High School who resides in Cornwall-on-Hudson, finished the 5K race in Balboa Park with a time of 6:03. She came in 41 seconds behind first-place champion runner Jordan Hasay, a senior from Arroyo Grande, California.
Cuffe, who first raced competively in February of this year, was one of only 40 girls nationwide who qualified to compete in the national championships – and the first girl cross-country runner from Cornwall ever to compete nationally.
