November 30, 2008
A Cornwall man was the victim of a home robbery at his residence on Firth Street, according to local police.
The unidentified 20-year-old told police that he was home alone shortly after 6 p.m. on Saturday when someone knocked on his front door. When he opened the door, two suspects, described as Hispanic males wearing black hoodies, forced their way into the residence, he said.
According to the victim, one of the suspected had a razor knife and one had a firearm. The man struggled with the assailants, who then fled on foot toward Willow Avenue, police said.
Police units from Cornwall, New Windsor, the town of Woodbury and the New York State police responded to the scene. The incident is still under investigation by the town of Cornwall police department.
