General News: Hike in Building Fees Approved
October 23, 2008
It’s going to cost you more to get a building permit in the town of Cornwall. On Tuesday, the town board approved a hike in fees for permits, as well as for filing applications with the zoning board and planning board.
Town supervisor Kevin Quigley said that the increase was necessary to cover the cost of running the building department, which has increased in size in recent years. The last time fees were raised was in 1995, he said.
A copy of the new fee schedule is available in the office of the town clerk.
