Police Blotter: October 16-18, 2008

Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Department

Thursday, October 16
1:16 a.m.  Police respond to a noise complaint regarding a loud mechanical noise from the rear of Cumberland Farms.  Will advise store manager in the morning.


Friday, October 17
No arrests or summonses.


Saturday, October 18
4:30 p.m.  Police respond to Academy Avenue for a report of an attempted larceny in which a fence was moved in an apparent unsuccessful attempt to get into a shed that houses a motorcycle.

4:37 p.m.  Police observe a subject on Hudson Street who appeared to be lost and interview him.  He says he is walking to New Paltz.  Police check him out and find an active arrest warrant from the town of New Paltz, whose police say they are unable to extradite so the subject is moved along.

8:35 p.m.  Police respond to Second Street for a report of juveniles with baseball bats arguing and find three juveniles who were going through the trash and found a baseball bat.  There was no argument.
