With cold weather fast approaching, St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital Auxiliary is getting ready for its annual sale of new and gently used coats and jackets. The event will be held October 14-18 at the Auxiliary’s beautiful new shop, The New to You Boutique.
“The benefit to the community is two-fold,” said Auxiliary President Joan DiTullo. “Shoppers will find inexpensive name brand and designer coats for the coming winter months, and know that the money they spend goes toward enriching services and facilities at the hospital.”
The outerwear will include snowsuits, rainwear, jackets, windbreakers, fleece and sweaters, all available at great savings. Donations of quality coats and other items will be accepted throughout the season.
The coat sale complements services provided by the Auxiliary, whose role as advocate and ambassador for SLCH serves to raise funds in support of patient care needs and to promote a positive image of the hospital in the community. Last year, the Auxiliary raised $180,000 that supported program and facility enhancements.
The New to You Boutique, located at 436 Blooming Grove Turnpike in New Windsor offers clothing, home furnishings and accessories for the family generously donated by civic-minded community members. All proceeds go toward enriching care and services at the hospital. Shop hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. To accommodate holiday shopping, the Boutique will be open from 10 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evenings through November 20.
