Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Department
Thursday, September 25
6:40 p.m. Police observe a thin male in his 20s in the bus turnaround area off Bayview Avenue and ask him to stop but he kept going. Patrol searches the nearby woods without finding the suspect.
7:34 p.m. Police respond to a report of a skunk in a resident’s yard on Paula Court. Skunk is gone on arrival.
8:29 p.m. Village and town police units respond to a report of a suspicious vehicle at the DB Mart and determine that the vehicle’s registration was improper. Vehicles is towed.
Friday, September 26
4:40 p.m. Police remove a vehicle with five juveniles inside from the municipal parking lot.
4:54 p.m. Police remove four juveniles from the side of the Cornwall Central School Dsitrict administration building.
5:13 p.m. Police remove a group of juveniles from the village gazebo, including one who was riding a bike inside the gazebo.
7:04 p.m. Police observe a teenage male walking down Church Street to Willow Dell Cemetery and advise him after he says he is walking through on his way to the river.
7:54 p.m. Police remove a group of juveniles from the front of Cornwall-on-Hudson elementary school.
8:16 p.m. Police remove a group of three teenage males from the rear of Cornwall-on-Hudson elementary school.
9:45 p.m. Police remove a group of juveniles who were blocking the sidewalk in front of Split Endz salon.
9:51 p.m. Police advise a group of juveniles on Clark Avenue.
Saturday, September 27
8:04 a.m. Police investigate a report that an air conditioner in a window at the Cornwall Yacht Club had been pushed in although no access was gained.
12:46 p.m. Police issue a ticket for driving 42 mph in a 30 mph zone on Hudson Street to a 38-year-old woman from Cornwall.
5:40 p.m. Police advise a group of about 20 juveniles in the municipal parking lot to move along.
6:01 p.m. Police respond to a report of a purple Ipod and sweatshirt that had been left on the steps of Cornwall-on-Hudson Elementary School by a girl who now reports them missing when she returned to pick them. Officer canvasses youth in the area with no results.
6:13 p.m. Police remove a group of juveniles from the village square.
6:18 p.m. Police remove a group of juveniles from Avenue A.
10:43 p.m. Police remove a group of juveniles from the municipal parking lot.
11:52 p.m. Police investigate a 911 call from a man who says he was assaulted a Tom’s Tavern. Interviews with eyewitnesses say that the man was intoxicated and harassed a female patron in front of her son. According to eyewitnesses, the man was thrown out of the bar, attempted to hit the son, missed, and was then hit by the son.
