Monday, September 8
5:32 a.m. Police remove a dead deer from the roadway on Route 9W.
9:13 a.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Route 32 to a 19-year-old female from Bloomingburg.
@10 a.m. Police investigate a report of a missing night deposit from a business on Main Street.
5:30 p.m. Police respond to a report of kids trying to climb on the roof of Key Foods and observe some juveniles in the area, who are advised by police.
7:10 p.m. Police locate and stop a vehicle on Route 32 that had been involved in a hit-and-run accident in Woodbury
7:38 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Main Street.
7:48 p.m. Police assist a woman concerned about the welfare of her son.
Tuesday, September 9
12:48 a.m. Police observe a vehicle in the train station parking lot and speak to the two occupants, a 19-year-old male and a 20-year-old female, who say they are just hanging out and talking. Parties are advised and sent on their way.
11:47 a.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Orrs Mills Road to a 30-year-old male from Wallkill.
1:26 p.m. Police issue two traffic tickets on Route 9W to a 20-year-old male from Newburgh.
2:50 p.m. Police issue two traffic tickets, including one for driving without a license, on Route 9W to a 26-year-old male from Newburgh and impound his vehicle.
4:32 p.m. Police contact a person suspected of making an obscene phone call and advise the suspect to stop.
5:30 p.m. Police respond to a two-vehicle motor vehicle accident on Route 32 and COVAC transport one victim to Cornwall hospital for observation.
7:08 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Mt. Airy Road to a 38-year-old female from the Bronx.
7:32 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Route 94 to a 44-year-old male from Blooming Grove.
Wednesday, September 10
1:04 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Route 32 to a 42-year-old female from Goshen.
1:22 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Route 32 to 21-year-old male from the Bronx.
1:44 p.m. Police issue two traffic tickets on Route 32 to a 29-year-old male from Spring Valley.
2:01 p.m. Police respond to a report of a suspicious person who told a resident that he was from Central Hudson and was going to turn off her power if she did not pay her bill. Police verify the man’s identity with Central Hudson.
4:44 p.m. A 17-year-old female from Cornwall turns herself in on an outstanding warrant.
7:13 p.m. Cornwall police and N.Y. State police investigate a robbery that occurred on Mailler Avenue. The 18-year-old victim, who resides in New Windsor, advised that he received a ride from a stranger at the Destinta movie theatre. The suspect was described as a white male, 18-25 years old with a thin beard. When they arrived on Mailler Avenue, the suspected displayed a handgun and asked for money. The victim gave the suspect a small amount of money and the suspect fled the area in a small, dark, 2-door vehicle.
9:34 p.m. Police arrest 39-year-old Trenette Melvin, of New Windsor, on a bench warrant.
Thursday, September 11
1:29 a.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Route 32 to a 19-year-old male from Mountainville.
2:12 a.m. Police issue a parking ticket on Main Street.
6:43 a.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 32.
11:28 a.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Route 9W to a 28-year-old male from Highland Falls.
12:54 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Mineral Springs Road to a 26-year-old male from New Windsor.
Friday, September 12
12:01 a.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Route 94 to a 19-year-old female from Pine Bush.
12:54 a.m. Police assist COVAC in gaining entry to an apartment whose female occupant had fallen and needed assistance to get up.
4:52 a.m. Police respond to a report of a deer vs motor vehicle accident, dispatch the deer and remove it from Route 9W.
10:18 a.m. Police assist to calm down a patient at Cornwall hospital.
