General News: New Program for Seniors

The Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York, Police Department provides interaction and assistance with Senior Citizens in the Community with its’ “Safe Seniors” Program. This program is open to Senior Citizens seventy-five years of age and older, who live alone and reside within the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y.
Once a month Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Officers will respond in person to the registered Senior Citizens’ private residence where COHPD officers will interact with the resident(s) with conversation, inquire if there any additional needs the resident may have and/or any proper referrals officers can assist in making for the resident.
Senior Citizens are an extremely important and integral part of the Community and have a great deal to offer others with their knowledge and life experiences. Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Department takes tremendous pride in working with the Senior Citizens in its’ Community.
Local Senior Citizens and/ or their Family Members may pick- up applications for this program either in person anytime at the Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Department or in person during regular business hours at the Village Hall Office located at 325 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y. 12520.
