Monday, September 1
12:05 p.m. Police respond to a two car motor vehicle accident with no reported injuries on Route 32.
8:05 p.m. Police observe fireworks being set off on Orr Hatch Drive and strongly advise the subjects there to cease activity.
10:07 p.m. Police observe a vehicle parked at Lee Rd. elementary school with five occupants who said they were just talking and enjoying their last evening of summer vacation. Subjects are advised to refrain from trespassing on school grounds.
11:37 p.m. Police charge Chrystal Way, 22, Kristen Moreno, 19, and an 18-year-old male, all from Newburgh, with trespassing after they were found on Reservoir Road in the Black Rock Forest Preserve parking lot with two BB guns. The trio said they had been firing the guns at paper targets.
Tuesday, September 2
7:38 a.m. Police respond to a two-vehicle motor accident at Route 9W and Willow Avenue.
Wednesday, September 3
@4 p.m. Police respond to a report of a wallet stolen from a vehicle on Long Hill Road. Wallet is recovered down the street.
11:45 p.m. Police issue a ticket for driving 76 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 32 to a 22-year-old female from Highland Mills.
Thursday, September 4
10:57 a.m. Police issue tickets for an expired registration on a boat trailer and for expired insurance to a 64-year-old male from Newburgh.
12:06 p.m. Police issue a ticket for speeding on Route 94 to a 20-year-old female from Dover Plains.
12:51 p.m. Police issue a ticket for driving without a license to a 57-year-old male from Scranton and impound his vehicle.
4:37 p.m. Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Mineral Springs Road.
6:33 p.m. Police respond to a report of two aggressive door-to-door salesmen who say that they are with a group of 20 other people selling household cleaning products. The group has permits to solicit in the town but the two are advised to leave the property if a resident is not interested in buying the product they are selling.
7:47 p.m. Police respond to a report of salespeople caught rifling through a book bag that was on the complainant’s front porch although nothing was taken. The group is advised to cease its activity for the evening.
10:23 p.m. Police issue two tickets for traffic violations on Route 32 to a 20-year-old male from Newburgh.
Friday, September 5
9:58 a.m. Police issue a ticket for driving 58 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 94 to a 23-year-old female from Monroe.
2:40 p.m. Police charge 45-year-old William Pryor, of McBee, South Carolina, with possession of marijuana after a blunt of the drug was found in his pocket after he was placed in custody for violating the local solicitation law. Pryor and two others, 23-year-old Sarag Conaway, of Detroit, and Renard Houston, 19, of Detroit, were also charged with violating the local solicitation law when they were found without a permit selling cleaning products door-to-door.
4:50 p.m. Police issue three tickets for vehicle and traffic violations on Route 9W to a 21-year-old male from Cornwall-on-Hudson.
6:10 p.m. Police issue a ticket for a traffic violation on Angola Road to a 23-year-old female from Highland Falls.
7:55 p.m. Police charge 44-year-old Jeffrey Rothstein, of Paramus, N.J., with driving with a suspended license and with speeding on Route 9W.
Saturday, September 6
4:34 a.m. Police issue ticket for driving 65 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 32 to a 23-year-old male from Wallkill.
7:33 a.m. Police respond to a minor motor vehicle accident on Route 32.
Sunday, September 7
1:00 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Route 9W to a 36-year-old male from Marlboro.
3:04 p.m. Police advise dirt bikers in an area near Blossom Terrace to refrain from operating their bike’s near a complainant’s residence.
5:58 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Quaker Avenue to a 28-year-old male from Cornwall.
