Sunday, August 24
12:50 p.m. Police issue a ticket for driving 45 mph in a 30 mph zone on Elm Street to a 19-year-old male from Apopka.
6:29 p.m. Police respond to a report of an animal struck by a vehicle on Avenue A and find an injured cat, which was dispatched.
9:20 p.m. Police move along a group of juveniles on Hudson Street.
Monday, August 25
12:11 a.m. Police respond to a report of police tape put across the roadway on Curie Road, find the tape, remove it and find no suspects.
6:31 p.m. Police move along three juveniles from behind the Cornwall-on-Hudson elementary school.
7:02 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Academy Avenue to a 20-year-old male from Cornwall-on-Hudson.
7:33 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Hudson Street to a 48-year-old male from Highland Mills.
7:46 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Hudson Street to a 20-year-old female from Cortland Manor.
8:36 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Route 9W to a 53-year-old female from Newburgh.
Tuesday, August 26
12:03 a.m. Police move along a group of noisy juveniles from the woods off First Street.
5:10 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 9W.
6:19 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Hudson Street to an 18-year-old male from Campbell Hall.
6:36 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Route 9W to a 54-year-old male from Rock Tavern.
6:45 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Avenue A to a 46-year-old male from Cornwall.
8:24 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Hudson Street to a 41-year-old male from Cortland Manor.
10:00 p.m. Police issue a ticket for no vehicle tail light to a 31-year-old male from Cornwall.
11:53 p.m. Police investigate a report of larceny from a vehicle parked near Painters Tavern in which a woman’s bag was taken that contained tax returns, notebooks, and medical text books. The bag, with all its contents, is found on Avenue A.
Wednesday, August 27
6:20 p.m. Police investigate report of a good bracelet taken from an unlocked vehicle.
