Monday, July 21
12:55 a.m.  Police respond to a report of a disabled vehicle on Route 9W whose driver says he ran out of gas.  The driver appears nervous and after questioning, agrees to a search of his vehicle.  Police find several glassine envelopes containing marijuana in the glove compartment. A brown cylinder containing marijuana roaches, and a digital scale with marijuana residue.  Police charge the 18-year-old driver from Harrington Park, N.J., with possession of marijuana.

3:16 a.m.  Police assist New Windsor police with a domestic dispute.

8:16 a.m.  Police respond to a minor motor vehicle accident that occurred when a car was attempting to park on Main Street.

8:48 a.m.  Police issue a ticket to an 18-year-old male driver from Newburgh after he is observed driving over the median on Route 9W.

10:34 a.m.  Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Bede Terrace.

5:22 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for an expired inspection to a vehicle driven by a 28-year-old female from Newburgh.

5:41 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for an expired inspection to a vehicle driven by a 37-year-old male from Cornwall.

5:43 p.m.  Police issue a ticket on Route 32 to a 37-year-old female from Cornwall.

5:54 p.m.  Police issue a ticket on Route 32 to a 48-year-old male from Newburgh.

5:59 p.m.  Police charge 25-year-old Maria CaQuana, of Newburgh, with driving without a license and driving an unregistered vehicle.


Tuesday, July 22
6:50 a.m.  Police assist a disabled motorist who had run out of gas on Route 9W.

3:05 p.m.  Police respond to a minor motor vehicle accident on Main Street.

3:58 p.m.  Police respond to Route 9W for a report of a tree in the roadway and contact NYS DOT to remove it.

5:39 p.m.  Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 94 in which one car rear-ended another.


Wednesday, July 23
5:28 a.m.  Police respond with COVAC to assist elderly Alzheimer patient who apparently took too much medication.

8:21 a.m.  Police respond to a report of a tree in the roadway on Willow Avenue and contact Orange County DPW to remove it.

2:40 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for driving 55 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 32 to a 36-year-old female from Chester.

4:06 p.m.  Police open an investigation into the disappearance of two motorcycles that were parked outside a residence on Route 32 with for sale signs.  The owners of the 2002 Harley Davidson Fat Boy and the 2006 Harley Davidson Night Train last saw the bikes on July 7, 2008, when they left for vacation.

4:28 p.m.  Police issue a parking ticket to a vehicle on Hasbrouck.

4:42 p.m.  Police issue a parking ticket to a vehicle parked in a no parking area on Firth Street.

5:23 p.m.  Police respond to a report of an assault on a nurse by a mental health patient at Cornwall hospital.

8:30 p.m.  Police respond to a domestic dispute on Mill Street and take a woman into custody based on the mental health law and transport her to Cornwall hospital for evaluation.

10:29 p.m.  Police respond to Cumberland Farms in the village for a reported fight in progress and assist with crowd control.


Thursday, July 24
12:35 a.m.  Police respond to Cornwall hospital for a report of a disorderly female patient.

9:24 a.m.  Police respond to a one-car motor vehicle accident on Angola Road in which a car ran off the roadway and into a ditch.

2:46 p.m.  Police issue two tickets to a 21-year-old male driver on Chestnut Street.

6:40 p.m.  Police arrest Mark Iannolo for failure to notify police of an address change.

8:13 p.m.  Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Taylor Road.


Friday, July 25
12:15 a.m.  Police respond to a domestic dispute.

1:41 a.m.  Police investigate a report of vandalism at a residence on Angola Road in which a rum bottle was thrown at a window and broke it.

9:04 a.m.  police respond to a motor vehicle accident at 45 Quaker Avenue.

9:23 a.m.  Police issue a ticket to a 23-year-old female from New Windsor on Mineral Springs Road.

9:28 a.m.  Police respond to the Bethlehem Church for a report of criminal mischief in which tables and a big sign were tipped over.

9:44 a.m.  Police issue a ticket to a 50-year-old male from New Hampton on Angola Road.

10:51 a.m.  Police issue a ticket to a 20-year-old male from White Plains on Route 9W.

11:20 a.m.  Police issue a ticket to a 24-year-old male from Newburgh on Route 9W.

1:12 p.m. Police respond to a report of larceny from a vehicle.

1:29 p.m.  Police investigate a report of a larceny from a vehicle on Canterbury Avenue.

1:47 p.m.  Police take a report of harassing phone calls made by a soon-to-be ex-husband to his wife.

3:07 p.m.  Police take a report of two charges made to a person’s credit card that she did not make.

4:30 p.m.  Police take a report of a harassing text message.

5:00-5:26 p.m.  Police issue four tickets for expired inspection stickers to vehicles parked at the train station.

5:15 p.m.  Police respond to a report of an injured rabbit on Warren Court and find the animal deceased on arrival.

5:51 p.m.  Police take a report of a verbal domestic dispute.

7:48 p.m.  Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Main Street in which a parked car was sideswiped.

8:31 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for driving 52 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 94 to a 24-year-old female from Chester.

9:13 p.m.  Police respond to a motor vehicle accident in which a vehicle crashed into the front porch of a residence on Academy Avenue and the driver fled the scene.

Saturday, July 26
11:27 a.m.  Police issue a ticket on Route 9W to a 38-year-old male from Brooklyn.

11:44 a.m.  Police issue a ticket on Route 94 to an unidentified driver.

12:48 p.m.  Police respond to a motor vehicle accident in which a truck pulling out of Beakes Road onto Route 32 struck a vehicle.  No injuries.

7:28 p.m.  Police issue a ticket on Route 32 to a 47-year-old male from Wayne.

9:15 p.m.  Police issue a ticket on Orrs Mills Road to a 22-year-old female from New Windsor.

9:21 p.m.  Police respond to Cornwall hospital for a report of a subject possibly sprayed with pepper spray substance while walking down Hudson Street towards Main St.  The victim stated that a vehicle pulled up next to him and the back seat passenger sprayed him in his face, chest and back with a substance that began to burn his eyes and skin.  The suspects yelled something and drove away in a silver Honda Civic.  A similar incident occurred later in the evening in the village of Cornwall-on-Hudson.

10:20 p.m.  Police respond to Cornwall hospital for a report of a mental health patient who had left the unit but is found in the ER.
