General News: Sex Offender Charged With Violating Terms
July 23, 2008
Town of Cornwall police arrested a convicted sex offender on Tuesday after he failed to report an address change, according to police chief Todd Hazard.
Hazard said in a release that Mark Iannolo, 46, of 12 Clinton Street in Cornwall, was charged with a class E felony after not filing a change of address within ten days.
He was arraigned before town justice Francis Navarra and released to appear on July 24, 2008. Iannolo was convicted of sodomy in 1991 in a case involving a 23-year-old woman in the town of Newburgh.
Iannolo is the only convicted sex offender living in Cornwall, according to the New York State registry. Another such individual resides in Cornwall-on-Hudson.
