To the Editor:
Last Friday evening I went to see The Laramie Project at St. John’s Episcopal church. When I walked in I was not sure what to expect and when I walked out I was filled with emotion and blown away by the performances of these young adults.
The play is a powerful piece and, despite the difficult subject matter, what resonates loud and clear is the message of love and hope. I want to thank Susanne Shand for her courage to bring this play to our community and the young actors for their brilliant performances. I urge everyone in the community to see this play. I also want to thank Susanne for her generosity in donating all of the proceeds of this play to Safe Harbors of the Hudson’s efforts to restore the Ritz Theater.
