General News: DPW Employee on the Mend
July 16, 2008
Charles Faurot, the village employee run over by a DPW truck two weeks ago, is recuperating following six hours of surgery last Friday to re-build his right knee.
Faurot, who works for the DPW, tried to jump onto the rear of a truck that was backing up and fell. The driver was unaware of Faurot’s action and drove over his leg and mid-section.
DPW chief Dave Halvorsen said Faurot is still in Westchester Medical Center but may soon be moved to a rehabilitation center.
“He was lucky,” Halvorsen told the village board, “he came out of it with a busted up knee and a broken rib. He’s dealing with it the best he can.”
