Police Blotter: June 15-18, 2008

Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Department

Sunday, June 15
2:14 a.m.  Police respond to a report of juveniles hanging outside on a porch on Avenue A,  being loud and setting off fireworks.  Police speak with juvenile and parent and advise all.

2:29 a.m.  Police advise owners of two vehicles to move them because they are blocking traffic on Maple Road.

10:52 a.m.  Police issue a ticket to a vehicle without a parking permit at the riverfront.

1:37 p.m.  Police respond to a motor vehicle accident with injuries at Mountain Road and Route 9W.

3:31 p.m.  Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Duncan Avenue.


Monday, June 16
10:02 a.m.  Police investigate a reported larceny of a dolly issued to wheel a garbage can to the curb on Andrew Street.

5:43 p.m.  Police observe a group of very dirty youths walking down Hudson Street who asked which way to Albany.  Officer tells them which way to go.

7:08 p.m.  Police investigate a report of telephone harassment.

9:43 p.m.  Police respond to a report of a person walking down the street bothering people.  Subject is found talking to a group of youths and officer advises him to keep walking and gives him directions to the bridge.

11:40 p.m.  Police respond to a domestic dispute.


Tuesday, June 17
10:50 a.m.  Police issue a ticket for driving 36 mph in a 20 mph school zone on Hudson Street to a 46-year-old female from Cornwall-on-Hudson.

1:55 p.m.  Police respond to a report from the Orange County Sheriff’s Marine Unite of several juveniles walking along the railroad tracks carrying beverages.  Upon arrival, juveniles are in their vehicles in front of the yacht club and are advised and moved along.

5:19 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for a traffic violation on Homeland to a 19-year-old male from Cornwall.

5:42 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for a traffic violation on Shore Road to a 17-year-old female from New Windsor.

6:34 p.m.  Police respond to the back of the Cornwall-on-Hudson Elementary School for a report of juveniles on top of a shed.  Youths say they are taking photos from the shed.  Police advise them and move them along.

9:56 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for a traffic violation on Hudson Street to an 18-year-old male from Cornwall.


Wednesday, June 18
No summonses or arrests.
