The tedious mowing slowly unveiling an 850,000 square-foot Purple Heart Medal of Honor, more than 1,000 feet long. Each detail precise, down to the seven 36-foot tall laurel leaves on each side of the three gold stars above a portrait of George Washington.
Opening ceremonies for the impressive field art was held in conjunction with the 75th anniversary of the Purple Heart Medal. The ceremonies and days that followed attracted medal recipients, private citizens, dignitaries and military brass from throughout our great country.
