General News: Two Charged With Larceny at Cumberland Farms

A month-long investigation has resulted in the arrest of two women on felony charges of grand larceny from the Cumberland Farms store on Route 94 in Salisbury Mills.
Cornwall police chief Todd Hazard says that a Cumberland Farms security agent informed his department in mid-May that the store had lost more than $4,600 over several months and he identified two employees as suspects. The security agent provided documentation showing numerous voided transactions and closed-circuit video of the cash register area.
Cornwall police officer Douglass Schofield investigated the claims and arrested the two employees.
Jennifer Conley age 19, of Mountainville was charged with grand larceny in the third degree, a class D Felony, and with falsifying business records in the first degree, a class E felony. Conley was arrested on June 4, 2008, and was arraigned before Cornwall town justice Francis Navarra.
On Monday, June 16, Heather Shutter, age 22, of Poughkeepsie, was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, a class E felony, and with falsifying business records in the first degree, a class E felony.
