Monday, June 2
1:43 a.m.  Police issue a traffic ticket to a 26-year-old female from New Windsor on Route 32.

6:25 p.m. Police issue a t ticket to a 20-year-old male from Newburgh on Route 32 for driving without a valid license and impound his car.

9:15 a.m.  Police issue a ticket to a 19-year-old female from Washingtonville on Orrs Mills Road.

12:36 p.m.  Police respond to a vehicle accident on Route 9W when one driver attempted to change lanes and struck a vehicle in the other lane.

12:43 p.m.  Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 94.

3:58 p.m.  Police respond to a domestic dispute.

4:34 p.m.  Police take a report from a man who said that as he was pulling out of his driveway on Main Street, a passenger in another vehicle threw a McDonald’s cup full of soda into his vehicle through an open rear window.

6:51 p.m.  Police take a report about a 12-year-old girl who is being verbally harassed at school.  Officer verified that the school is handling it.

9:27 p.m.  Police advise resident who came to police headquarters regarding a parking dispute with his neighbor.

10:14 p.m.  Police make a welfare check on a woman whose daughter was concerned because she didn’t answer the phone.  Police find the woman had turned off her phone ringer and forgot to turn it back on.

11:50 p.m.  Police respond to a noise complaint involving a loud TV and the subject says that they were into hockey and the game was into double overtime.  He apologized and agreed to turn down the TV.


Tuesday, June 3
8:45 a.m.  Police respond to a report of a bear causing a disturbance at the Storm King Golf Course and locate the bear looking for food there.  Officer sounds his siren, scaring the bear and it ran off into the woods.

9:38 a.m.  Police issue a ticket for an inadequate muffler and for talking on a cell phone while driving to a 52-year-old male from Middletown.

10:22 a.m.  Police ticket a 24-year-old male from Lancaster on Route 32 for driving without a license, speeding, and having an obstructed view, and impound his vehicle.
6:00 p.m.  Police respond to an anonymous caller who said she was driving on Main Street when she stopped to allow a mother and her young child to cross the street and the vehicle behind her went around her, almost striking the pedestrians.  Caller provided the registration of the other vehicle and police speak with the owner, a 40-year-old female from Cornwall, who says she thought the first vehicle was trying to park.

6:41 p.m.  Police investigate a report of identity theft.

7:49 p.m.  Police issue a ticket to a 44-year-old male from New Windsor on Quaker Avenue.

8:30 p.m.  Police intervene in a dispute between two juveniles at a playground and advise their parents.


Wednesday, June 4
1:32 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for speeding and for driving while talking on a cell phone on Route 9W to 55-year-old male from Monroe.

1:38 p.m.  Police arrest a 19-year-old male in connection with an on-going grand larceny investigation.

3:17 p.m.  Polcie respond to a call in which a driver passed out and drove onto the front yard of a residence on Laurel Avenue.  Driver says he was going to the hospital because he cut his finger and when he saw the blood on his hand he passed out.

5:56 p.m.  Police respond to a report at Key Food of a 43-year-old male stealing some Country Crock Butter while paying for other items.  The suspect is contacted later and he denies stealing anything but says he made restitution to Key Foods and apologized for the incident.

8:30 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for failing to signal to a 54-year-old female driver from Newburgh.

Thursday, June 5
12:22 a.m.  Police respond to a domestic dispute.

2:59 a.m.  Police issue a ticket to a 23-year-old male from New Windsor on Clove Road.

9:14 a.m.  Police issue tickets to Rey Vaillant  21, of Newburgh, for driving with a suspended license, talking on a cell phone while driving, having an obstructed view,  having an inadequate muffler, and for having no rear bumper.

12:08 p.m.  Police respond to a complaint of a loose dog in the yard of a residence on Otterkill Road.  The chocolate lab had no tags and police place it in the town kennel.

12:18 p.m.  Police issue a ticket to a 64-year-old female from Cornwall on Hudson Street for talking on a cell phone while driving.

4:00 p.m.  Police respond to a report of a juvenile who grabbed another one at the middle school and verify that the school is handling the incident.

6:13 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for speeding on Orrs Mills Road to a 21-year-old female from Cornwall-on-Hudson.

11:00 p.m.  Police respond to a report of harassing phone calls received by a female resident of Cornwall.  Police contact the suspect and advise him to refrain from further contact.


Friday, June 6
12:13 a.m.  Police issue a ticket to a 43-year-old male from Dobbs Ferry on Route 9W.

1:05 a.m.  Police issue a parking ticket to a vehicle on Main Street.

3:20 a.m.  Police respond to a noise complaint at the Shamrock Tavern.

4:22 a.m.  Police respond to a complaint of a loud group on Main Street and advise them to leave the area.

3:47 p.m.  Police take a report from a student at the high school who said his Ipod was stolen from school.

10:24 p.m.  Police respond to a noise complaint in Laurel Crest Park and find several local youths playing hide-and-seek with adult supervision.  All subjects are sent on their way.


Saturday, June 7
2:25 a.m.  Police observe a vehicle that appeared to be disabled on Route 9W, then it was driven into the parking lot of the hospital with a rear passenger opening the door while the vehicle was in motion.  The driver stated that his two female passengers had a lot to drink and are sick.

2:45 a.m.  Police locate four juveniles on Bridge Street.  Two females, age 13 and 14, are then transported home and their parents are notified.

6:34 a.m.  Police issue a ticket to a 38-year-old male from Montgomery on Route 9W.

10:08 a.m.  Police issue a ticket to a 48-year-old female from Cornwall on Route 9W.

11:10 a.m.  Police issue a ticket to a 21-year-old male from Newburgh on Route 300.

5:45 p.m.  Police respond to a report of an object thrown at a school bus that struck the windshield.  The subjects were located in the parking lot of St. Thomas Church and their parents are contacted.

6:50 p.m.  Police respond to a minor motor vehicle accident near Cornwall Plaza on Quaker Avenue.

7:43 p.m.  Police assist COVAC with an unconscious female who was intoxicated.

8:27 p.m.  Police assist a resident on Route 94 with a black bear in her back yard.


Sunday, June 8
5:08 p.m.  Police issue two tickets for traffic violations to a 23-year-old male from Newburgh on Route 32.

6:20 p.m.  Police respond to the mental health unit of Cornwall hospital to assist with a patient.

7:23 p.m.  Police arrest Thomas Scully, 51, of Mountainville, and charge him with felony DWI after he was observed operating a vehicle that was obstructing traffic on Angola Road.
