Sunday, June 1
No summonses or arrests.

Monday, June 2

11:07 a.m.  Police respond to a medical call pending arrival of COVAC to administer oxygen to an elderly male having difficulty breathing.

2:17 p.m.  Police respond to Duncan Avenue for a report of wires taken down by a truck.  Vehicle was still on the scene where it had taken down the telephone wire.

4:26 p.m.  Police respond to a report of a passing car that threw a soda bottle at another car on Hudson Street.

6:55 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 218 to a 19-year-old male from Newburgh.

8:45 p.m.  Police respond to a Shore Road residence where a man said someone had cut down a few trees on his property.  The subject is advised that Central Hudson was cutting trees during the past week.

Tuesday, June 3
10:00 a.m.  Police investigate a larceny case in which a Nano Ipod, a CD adapter, and personal papers were stolen from a vehicle parked at 43 River Avenue.

10:29 a.m.  Police investigate a larceny case in which Cds and a pair of sunglasses were stolen from a vehicle parked in a garage at 36 River Avenue.

12:20 p.m.  Police respond to 121 Duncan Avenue for a report of a bear that was ripping the screen off a window on the property.  The bear was gone on arrival.

6:55 p.m.  Police investigate the theft of an American flag from the porch of 269 Hudson Street.

7:26 p.m.  Police investigate a harassment complaint involving a man and woman.

9:31 p.m.  Police take a report of a For Rent sign removed from in front of 281 Hudson Street and thrown onto a neighbor’s hedge.

10:13 p.m.  Police respond to a complaint of two raccoons fighting in a tree that kept the complainant from sleeping.  Police chase the animals away.


Wednesday, June 4
6:50 a.m.  Police respond to a report of a large turtle crossing the Hudson Street in the area of Walden Savings Bank.  Turtle is gone on arrival.

I'm sorry, but the turtle was GONE when the police arrived? Now what does that tell you...?

it tells you that someone actually called the police to report a TURTLE!! I'm sure you are trying to say the police took forever to repond....turtles can move a long way in two minutes.

For the slow person, when you arrive on a call and the person, vehicle, whatever is no longer there it is "GONE ON ARRIVAL"

uhhh, for the slow person, it's called 'word play'. duh. somebody is taking this turtle biz a bit too seriously. I just feel bad for the snapper on shore road that didn't make it. Who is the jerk meat that is going so fast on that road that he/she can't avoid a turtle?
