General News: Bunt Named to Planning Board
May 13, 2008
Former Cornwall town supervisor Helen Bunt has been appointed to the town planning board.
Bunt was one of several candidates who applied for the position on the board that was vacated by Deke Hazirjian at the beginning of the year. Last week the board interviewed candidates, then announced its decision at Monday’s board meeting.
Bunt, who served as supervisor from 2000-01, ran against Kevin Quigley for the Republic nomination for supervisor in the primary race in 2007. She lost that bid.
She currently is the owner of several local businesses, including the Butterhill Day School, Ariel's Child, and the Dream Dance store on Main Street in Cornwall.
