General News: Police Arrest Suspect in Car Larceny

Cornwall police arrested a 17-year-old male from New Windsor after two officers saw him steal items from a vehicle parked on Agnes Street early Saturday morning.
Officers Gebert and Orellana were on patrol shortly before 2 a.m. when they saw the teen take a computer, radio, camera and wallet from the vehicle. When the officers approached, the youth threw the computer down and fled. After a brief pursuit on foot, the youth was taken into custody.
The teen faces charges of petty larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and criminal mischief. He was arraigned before Town Justice Navarra and sent to Orange County jail with bail set at $2,000.
