Thursday, May 1
5:36 p.m. Police respond to River Avenue for a report of criminal mischief. A resident said that he thought that someone loosened his left side tire nut on his vehicle because it came off while driving on Angola Road a few minutes earlier. Complainant said he wanted a report in case something else happens. No sign of any tampering.
5:43 p.m. Police respond to a noise complaint and advise residents to turn down the music.
10:34 p.m. Police respond to a report of a reckless driver in the village in the area of Route 9W and Mountain Road and see the vehicle on Route 9W. After blasting the siren numerous times the driver stopped his vehicle in the middle of the road. The driver was defiant and didn’t understand why he was being pulled over, despite an explanation from the officer. Driver insisted he was alright and police advise him that next time a police vehicle with emergency light and sirens stops him, to pull over to the side of the road instead of the middle of the roadway.
Friday, May 2
1:24 p.m. Police respond to a two-car motor vehicle accident with no injuries on Hudson Street.
7:58 p.m. Police issue a ticket for a traffic violation on Idlewild Avenue to a 17-year-old female from Cornwall-on-Hudson.
11:56 p.m. Police issue a ticket for a traffic violation on Hudson Street to a 49-year-old male from Newburgh.
Saturday, May 3
2:12 p.m. Police investigate a harassment complaint in a case that is still open.
4:53 p.m. Police respond to a report of a female screaming behind an apartment complex on Hudson Street. Parents take the subject home.
