Wednesday, April 9
2:32 a.m.  Police arrest 32-year-old David Rogers, of New Windsor, for possession of crack cocaine and issue to tickets, one for driving without a license and one for failure to keep right on Route 32.

5:52 a.m.  Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Mineral Springs Road.

9:01 a.m.  Police issue a ticket for driving 49 mph in a 30 mph zone on Mill street to a 66-year-old male from Newburgh.

9:39 a.m.  Police issue a ticket for driving 51 mph in a 30 mph zone on Quaker Avenue to a 28-year-old male from Gardiner.

10:55 a.m.  Police respond to a fire alarm at Cornwall hospital that turns out to have been triggered by a burst water pipe.

1:04 p.m.  Police issue two tickets, one for driving a vehicle with an expired registration and one for a traffic violation on Jackson Avenue, to a 33-year-old female from Ozark, Arkansas.

1:37 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for driving 47 mph in a 30 mph zone on Jackson Avenue to a 43-yar-old female from New Windsor.

1:57 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for driving 65 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 94 to a 41-year-old male from Chester.

2:39 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for an expired inspection sticker to a 46-year-old female from New Windsor.

2:45 p.m.  Police investigate a report of a computer taken from a room in the high school.

3:04 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for driving 51 mph in a 30 mph zone on Angola Road to a 38-year-old female from Cornwall.

4:36 p.m.  Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 32 in which one car rear-ended another at a traffic light.

6:25 p.m.  Police respond to a minor motor vehicle accident in the Town Hall parking lot.

7:14 p.m.  Police respond to an anonymous tip and find a man, nearly naked, washing his clothes in the stream at Otterkill Road and Jackson Avenue.  The man said he is an “outdoorsman” and this behavior was normal to him.  He said he is on a sight-seeing trip from Niagara Falls to Long Island.  Police advise him and provide directions to continue his road trip.


Thursday, April 10
1:42 a.m.  Police interview four teens, ages 15 to 18,  in the parking area of Otterkill Road.  The 18-year-old driver says he was there to smoke a cigarette and police advise him to bring the three juveniles straight home.

8:39 a.m.  Police issue a ticket for a vehicle and traffic violation on Mill Street to a 25-uear-old male from Spring Valley.

8:57 a.m.  Police respond to a motor vehicle accident in which a driver hit a recycling container.

9:02 a.m.  Police issue two tickets for vehicle and traffic violations in the traffic circle to a 50-year-old male from New Windsor.

9:18 a.m.  Police issue two tickets for vehicle and traffic violations on Mill Street to a 26-year-old male from Monsey.

9:57 a.m.  Police issue a ticket for driving 44 mph in a 30 mph zone on Quaker Avenue to a 26-year-old male from Monroe.

10:17 a.m.  Police issue a ticket for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 32 to a 38-year-old male from Washingtonville.

10:28 a.m.  Police issue a ticket for driving 47 mph in a 30 mph zone on Quaker Avenue to a 21-year-old male from Fairview.

10:40 a.m.  Police issue a ticket for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 32 to a 20-year-old male from Monroe.

11:12 a.m.  Police issue a ticket for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 32 to a 33-year-old male from Highland Mills.

11:42 a.m.  Police respond to Cornwall hospital to assist with a mental health patient.

1:10 p.m.  Police issue ticket for a vehicle and traffic violation on Quaker Avenue to a 28-year-old female from Maybrook.

1:25 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for a vehicle and traffic violation on Quaker Avenue to a 21-year-old male from Wallkill.

1:48 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for a vehicle and traffic violation on Quaker Avennue to a 22-year-old male.

2:39 p.m.  Police respond to Cornwall hospital for a report of a green leafy substance, believed to be marijuana that was found in a book bag out the ER.  Substance tests negative for marijuana and appears to be fish food.
3:20 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for a vehicle and traffic violation on Willow Avenue to a 46-year-old female from Salisbury Mills.

3:29 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for failure to stop at a stop sign on Quaker Avenue to a 61-year-old male from Gardiner.

5:04 p.m.  Police respond to a complaint of youths shooting a paint ball gun at passing motorists at Cornwall Plaza and do not find the youths.

5:56 p.m.  Police take a report from a driver who says another person known to him threw an egg roll at his car as they passed driving in opposite directions.  The egg roll struck the victim’s windshield.  Police respond to the residence of the subject believed to have thrown the egg roll and his parents say they will talk to him when he returns.

7:01 p.m.  Police respond to a complaint of harassment involving a divorced couple.


Friday, April 11
11:54 a.m.  Police issue a ticket for driving 46 mph in a 30 mph zone on Jackson Avenue.

12:11 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for driving 45 mph in a 30 mph zone on Route 94 to a 33-year-old female from Salisbury Mills.

12:26 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for a vehicle and traffic violation on Quaker Avenue to a 50-year-old male from Cornwall-on-Hudson.

12:45 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for a vehicle and traffic violation Route 94 to a 24-year-old female from Monroe.

12:47 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for a vehicle and traffic violation Main treet to a 30-year-old female from New Windsor.

1:06 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for driving 54 mph in a 40 mph zone on Angola Road to a 39-year-old female from New Windsor.

1:25 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for driving 56 mph in a 40 mph on Angola Road to a 67-year-old male from Newburgh.

1:36 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for driving 45 mph in a 30 mph zone on Fawn Hill to a 66-year-old female from Cornwall-on-Hudson.

1:37 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for a vehicle and traffic violation on Little League Drive to a 43-year-old female from Cornwall.

2:12 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for a vehicle and traffic violation on Quaker Avenue to a 39-year-old male from Cornwall.
3:04 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for a vehicle and traffic violation on Willow Avenue to a 28-year-old female from Cornwall.

3:21 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for failure to stop at the intersection of Shore Drive and Ash to a 47-year-old female from New Windsor.

3:50 p.m.  Police investigate a report from a woman who said she received three phone calls starting at 3:06 a.m. The caller is traced and says he made the calls because he was bored at the time.

4:06 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for driving 47 mph in a 30 mph zone on Jackson Avenue to a 16-year-old male from Salisbury Mills.

4:29 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for failure to stop at the stop sign at Quaker Avenue and Mill Street to a 54-year-old male from Skillman.

4:29 p.m.  Police investigate a bag with the remains of a dog left on the side on the road on Holloran Road.


Saturday, April12
12:40 a.m.  Police transport a barking dog to the kennel after his owner could not be located.

9:14 a.m.  Police investigate a report of personal items taken from a vehicle parked overnight in New Windsor.

1:25 p.m.  Police investigate a report of a bike that had been parked and locked at the public library that was missing.

1:35 p.m.  Police assist a mental health patient who said he was having a bad day to go to the hospital.

2:39 p.m.  Police issue three vehicle and traffic violations to a 34-year-old male driver from New Windsor who said that his registration sticker had fallen off and blown out the window and that he didn’t realize that his inspection sticker was expired.  He also could not produce an insurance card.

3:43 p.m.  Police respond to a complaint from a landlord about past tenants who left items at his property.

4:51 p.m.  Police respond to a complaint of a 4-wheeler being driven on the roadway on Shore Drive and advise the 16-year-old driver.

5:10 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for driving 64 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 9W to a 36-year-old female from Newburgh.

5:30 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for driving 63 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 9W to a 30-year-old male from Pearl River.

7:26 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 32 to a 20-year-old male from Newburgh.

8:20 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 94 to a 23-year-old male from Washingtonville.

9:14 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 32 to a 32-year-old male from Wallkill.

10:21 p.m.  Police investigate an obstruction in the roadway in which a yellow nylon rope attached to two wooden stakes was stretched across Hasbrouck and put inside a metal waste  paper basket and a plastic bag filled with garbage.  The items were removed to the side of the road and a canvas of the area had negative results.

11:53 p.m.  Police issue two tickets to a 24-year-old male driver from Newburgh for failure to signal and for driving without a license.


Sunday, April 13
2:54 a.m.  Police issue a ticket for a vehicle and traffic violation on Holloran Road to a 28-year-old male from New Windsor.

8:13 a.m.  Police issue two tickets to a taxi driver on Tamara Lane.  One for driving with a revoked license and one for driving on the left side of the road.

10:56 a.m.  Police investigate a report of a broken window at a residence on Jacqueline St.

12:46 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for an expired inspection sticker to a 48-year-old female from Highland Mills.

9:54 p.m.  Police investigate a vehicle found lying on its right side in a ditch on Shore Road.  No driver or occupants were at the scene but there was a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle and the officer observed a bag containing several empty beer containers,  The van had apparently struck 3 or 4 reflector posts on the roadside prior to stopping in the ditch.  Vehicle is towed and the owner is contacted.

Thursday, April 10 - 1:42 a.m.--- A 15 year old? and the cop told *the driver* to bring them home?!?!?!?!? jeez! you guys have it easy! If that were me and my pals Officer Huber would have had us in the POLICE CAR driving us home himself and then we would have had to explain to mom and dad what the he** we were doing hanging out on the road side at 2 o' clock in the morning.

Your not kidding. Today's society is not the same as it used to be. Parent's today are alot more tolerable of their kids actions. It is high time that people be held accountable for their actions. I am not just saying this about kids. This is true for all.
