Friday, March 21
9:14 a.m.  Police respond to a two vehicle minor traffic accident on Long Hill Road.

11:05 a.m.  Police investigate a report of trespassing at a business where the chain on a gate was cut and a no trespass sign damaged.

1:11 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for a vehicle and traffic violation on Quaker Avenue to a 37-year-old male from Middletown.

2:25 p.m.  Police respond to Key Foods for a report of dizzy patron who is transported to the hospital.

3:24 p.m.  Police respond to a possible unattended death.

3:47 p.m.  Police respond to a domestic dispute involving a woman and her ex-boyfriend.

4:38 p.m.  Police respond to Cornwall hospital to pick up an unidentified 24-year-old male on a parole warrant.

5:10 p.m.  Police detain John Burger, 48, of Cornwall, on a warrant from the City of Newburgh.

5:25 p.m.  Police respond to a domestic dispute involving a father and his stepson.

7:39 p.m.  Police stop an all terrain vehicle driven by a fifteen-year-old male on the sidewalk along Main Street and contact his parents.

7:45 p.m.  Police assist a citizen on a domestic call.

7:52 p.m.  Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 94 in which a driver drove onto a grass embankment.

9:43 p.m.  Police respond to a subject on Willow Avenue who heard “murderous thoughts” coming from his chest and is transported to Cornwall hospital by ambulance.


Saturday, March 22
12:38 a.m.  Police assist a driver in the parking lot of Quigley Bros. Funeral Home who said that he was driving on Hudson St. and struck an object in the road, blowing his front tire.  Village police are contacted and town police locate and remove the rock in the road that the driver had struck.

1:49 a.m.  Police issue a ticket for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 9W to a 19-year-old male driver from Haverstraw.

3:11 a.m.  Police issue a ticket for speeding on Route 32 to a 30-year-old male from Harriman.

3:31 a.m.  Police issue a ticket for a traffic violation on Route 9W to a 26-year-old female from Highland.

8:47 a.m.  Police respond to a report of a shoplifter at Key Foods and advise a 15-year-old male who was leaving the store with a Snapple in his hand.

1:57 p.m.  Police arrest 31-year-old Jamal Wilson of the Bronx for driving with a suspended license after his car was stopped on Quaker Avenue for having a brake light out.

4:18 p.m.  Police investigate a report of a house on Willow Avenue burglarized on March 19.

8:14 p.m.  Police respond to a report of an injured deer on Otterkill Road and dispatch the injured animal.

9:08 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for a vehicle and traffic violation on Main Street to a 21-year-old male from Cornwall-on-Hudson.

9:24 p.m.  Police respond to a domestic dispute.

9:56 p.m.  Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 9W.

10:28 p.m.  Police issue two tickets for vehicle and traffic violations on Route 9W to a 22-year-old male from Newburgh.

11:01 p.m.  Police arrest an 18-year-old female from New Windsor for driving with a suspended license and also issue three tickets, one for speeding on Route 32.


Sunday, March 23
2:02 a.m.  Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 32 involving a police car.

3:01 a.m.  Police respond to a domestic dispute involving a man trying to retrieve a dog from his ex-girlfriend.

12:30 p.m.  Police respond to a report of someone throwing rocks at a residence the previous night.

2:47 p.m.  Police respond to a one-car motor vehicle accident in which the car struck the divider on Route 9W and the driver injured his hand.  Driver taken to the hospital for treatment.

5:30 p.m.  Police remove a bale of hay blocking the roadway on Orrs Mills Road.


Monday, March 24
3:04 a.m.  Police issue a parking ticket to a vehicle on Mill Street.

9:57 a.m.  Police issue two summonses for vehicle and traffic violations on Mill Street to a 20-year-old male from Cuddebackville.

9:57 a.m.  Police issue a summons for speeding on Route 32 to an 18-year-old male from Newburgh.

10:30 a.m.  Police issue a summons for driving without a license and a summons for driving with an obstructed view to a 44-year-old male from Monroe.

1:40 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for speeding in Five Corners to a 55-year-old female from Monroe.

5:22 p.m.  Police issue a ticket for a vehicle and traffic violation on Mill Street to a 56-year-old male from Cornwall.
