Thursday, March 27
2:31 p.m. Police make a report of a minor motor vehicle accident between two trucks when they were parked at the DB Mart and one, belonging to the Cornwall school district, had its mirror knocked off.
8:10 p.m. Police assist a woman with her son on a domestic call.
Friday, March 28
10:56 a.m. Police respond to a report of criminal mischief at the food bank on Hudson Street in which a rear fence was destroyed.
1:40 p.m. Police investigate a report that a local resident made a fraudulent credit application.
5:50 p.m. Police inform a deputy seeking to serve papers to a local resident that it is not “PC” to enter a home that is unlocked under the premise that someone is inside and may need help.
Saturday, March 29
1:40 a.m. police respond to a report of juveniles in the area of the village DPW and interview subjects on River Avenue who had mud on their pants and wet shoes. Subjects say they were just walking around and appeared to have been at the beach. Subjects advised.
8:55 a.m. Police respond to a disabled vehicle on Route 9W and tow company tried to winch the vehicle onto the tow truck but the winch let loose and the vehicle rolled off the back of the truck, striking the guardrail and causing damage to the right rear quarter panel and taillight.
5:49 p.m. Police issue two summonses for speed on Shore Road to a 53-year-old female from Newburgh.
6:21 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Shore Road to a 17-year-old male from New Windsor.
