Police Blotter: March 9-12, 2008



Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Department

Sunday, March 9
No summonses or arrests.

Monday, March 10
11:57 a.m.  Police remove an unwanted person who was panhandling in front of the DB Mart.

2:23 p.m.  Police assist a jackknifed tractor-trailer at the gate on Route 218.

6:48 p.m.  Police stop a vehicle on Hudson Street for what appeared to be a child sitting in the front passenger’s seat without a seat belt and observe an adult and a child in that seat with a seat belt around both of them.  After being advised of how unsafe that is, the child and adult passenger walk home.

8:13 p.m.  Police respond to the bandstand for a report of juveniles making noise and speak to the subjects.


Tuesday, March 11
5:41 a.m.  Police respond to a one-car motor vehicle accident on Route 9W southbound near Mountain Road that occurred when the driver hit black ice and spun around, hitting the cement divider.  No injuries reported.

11:55 a.m.  Police charge 33-year-old Kim Feliciano, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, with criminal trespass and resisting arrest.  A neighbor reported that Feliciano had entered his residence and confronted another person there.  When police came to investigate, Feliciano left in a vehicle that police stopped but Feliciano refused to leave the vehicle, holding on to the steering wheel until police pulled her out.


Wednesday, March 12
12:00 midnight  Police respond to River Avenue for a dog bite complaint.  The dog owner says she told the other person not to squat in front of her dog, but the other person did so and the dog bit her in the face.  The person who was bitten went to Cornwall hospital and the police advise the dog owner to have her dog inside the house for the next 72 hours, pending an investigation by the dog control officer.
