Fans of Irish music got a chance to tap their toes to some lively tunes this Sunday at a concert by Brian Conway and Brendan Dolan that was sponsored by the Cornwall public library.
A master fiddler, Conway delighted the audience as he dug into some reels and jigs while Dolan accompanied him. The pair played before an overflow crowd of 100 people who gathered at Munger Cottage for the event.
Emma Schilling, a fourth-grade student at Cornwall-on-Hudson elementary school, performed some Irish step dances, her nimble legs kicking beneath a beautiful pink costume.
Between acts, concert-goers enjoyed tea and Irish soda bread – a lovely precursor to the Irish holiday that is a highlight of March for many, St. Patrick’s Day.
