It’s curtain time for the players of the Canterbury Theatre Ensemble at Storm King School who are staging Shakespeare’s "The Two Gentlemen of Verona" this weekend and next.
The comedic play is one of Shakespeare’s earliest and follows the exploits of two young men from Verona who find star-crossed love and adventure in Milan.
Students, teachers, and area residents make up the cast and crew of the Ensemble, which is debuting its third theater production this season at the Walter Reed, Jr. Theater on the Storm King School campus in Cornwall-on-Hudson.
The production team, which includes parents of school children, pitch in to help publicize the five performances of the play. Among those is Anne Fulton, a village resident whose daughter, Sarah, appears in most productions. Anne was spotted making a run at local shops to put up posters advertising “The Two Gentlemen of Verona.” Here’s a photo of her in action.
You can attend performances on this coming weekend and again on March 7 and 8. Click here for all the details.
