Dear Friend of Cornwall:
Every year, the Cornwall Ambulance Corps embarks upon several fund-raising projects to help support our Blood Drives, Community Day, Hallowe’en Haunted House and Christmas Santa Open House. To say nothing of supporting our 24-hour-a-day, 365-days-a-year operations as the community’s all-volunteer, totally unpaid ambulance corps—which our three dozen devoted members all simply accept and enjoy as a routine but hugely important part of their lives.
One of these fund-raisers is our annual Spaghetti Dinner, to be held this year on Saturday March 1st at the Vail’s Gate firehouse from four to eight p.m. (The event is has become so popular that we don’t have room for all the attendees at our own COVAC quarters.)
This year, we’re expanding the Spaghetti Dinner to include as co-sponsors the Cornwall Central High School baseball team, with whom we’re sharing the proceeds of the evening to support the healthy and life-affirming effectiveness of team athletics. We’re also sharing them with a local family that is battling a life-threatening affliction called scleroderma that has struck their mother.
So we’re asking local merchants to in turn help us present this dinner, whether through direct donations to Covac, donation of food and supplies with which to stock the dinner, or of goods and services that can be raffled or awarded as door prizes.
In return, we will honor donors with prominent signage at the dinner as well as posting whatever advertisement or notice you’d like on our busy website for six months, plus a link to your own site if you have one.
Won’t you please join us in supporting an event that helps so many people in so many ways? We’d be proud to have you on our side.
Sincerely,
Karen Zuzek
President, Cornwall Volunteer Ambulance Corps
