Monday, February 4
7:30 a.m. Police investigate a report of vandalism at the Mountainville Manor in which a vehicle drove across the lawn and a cast-iron bench and table had been thrown and damaged.

12:09 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Mill Street in which the car went down an embankment. The driver appeared disoriented and was taken to the hospital for observation.

4:58 p.m. Police respond to a report of a car reported missing from a Mill Street business and find that the vehicle had been towed.

6:18 p.m. Police respond to a report of a mailbox that had been damaged on Russell Street.

6:43 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident involving a town of Cornwall highway vehicle.


Tuesday, February 5
3:30 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident that occurred when a car leaving Cornwall Plaza was struck by a vehicle on Quaker Avenue and pushed across the road, knocking over a street sign and coming to rest against a pine tree.

4:06 p.m. Police take a report of credit card fraud.

5:29 p.m. Police issue two summonses to a 40-year-old male from Cornwall. One for driving without a license and one for failure to keep right on Route 9W.

6:12 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving 51 mph in a 30 mph zone on Route 32 to a 38-year-old female from Cornwall.

10:11 p.m. Police investigate a report of aggravated harassment, involving harassing phone calls.


Wednesday, February 6
10:36 a.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident involving two cars on the Quaker Avenue ramp to 9W south. No injuries.

12:19 p.m. Police investigate the disappearance from Cornwall hospital of a mental health patient who was returning from a court case when he took off running with a hospital security office chasing him across Route 9W. The officer lost sight of the man at the Cornwall Park townhouses. Four police officers search for the man with negative results. Subject is located three days later at his parents’ home in New Windsor and returned to the hospital.

10:15 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident in which a car hit a utility pole on Hasbrouck Avenue.

10:38 p.m. Police respond to a report of criminal mischief to mailboxes in which four boxes next to each other on Virginia Avenue were dented.


Thursday, February 7
8:30 a.m. Police arrest a patient at Cornwall hospital for assaulting another patient.

12:35 p.m. Police assist a tractor trailer that was blocking traffic in both directions on Route 32 after failing to make a U-turn.

6:02 p.m. Police respond to a report of a domestic dispute.

6:53 p.m. Police respond to a report of young male soliciting door-to-door in the area of Main Street and advise the subject he needs a permit to solicit.

6:57 p.m. Police respond to a report of a deer in the road on Shore Drive.

8:11 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 9W to a 60-year-old male from Newburgh.

8:27 p.m. Police issue two summonses for vehicle and traffic violations on Route 9W to a 40-year-old male from West Nyack.

8:47 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation at Cornwall Plaza to a 47-year-old male from Cornwall-on-Hudson.

9:15 p.m. Police issue two summonses for vehicle and traffic violations on Route 32 to a 28-year-old male from New Windsor.


Friday, February 8
2:01 a.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Quaker Avenue to a 21-year-old male from Fort Montgomery.

6:24 a.m. Police patrol the area of Angola Road for a report of a person yelling for help. They interview the complainant who says that while walking her dog she thought she heard an adult male voice yelling “Help, help.” Office checked the area and thought he heard the same thing. Further investigation determines that the sounds were coming from a rooster at a nearby residence.

10:40 a.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 32 to a 21-year-old male from Wallkill.

10:56 a.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 32 to a 40-year-old male from Newburgh.

4:22 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Angola Road to a 19-year-old male from Walden.

6:52 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Mineral Springs Road to an 18-year-old male from Cornwall.

7:47 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 94 to a 21-year-old male from Skyesville.


Saturday, February 9
9:31 a.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 32 to a 48-year-old female from Highland Mills.

9:54 a.m. Police issue a summons for an expired inspection sticker to a vehicle parked at the train station.

10:02 a.m. Police respond to a minor motor vehicle accident on Main Street.

12:11 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving 65 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 9W to a 27-year-old female from Jamaica, Queens.

12:41 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 32 to a 33-year-old male from Modena.

1:35 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving 65 mph in a 55 mph zone to a 31-year-old male from Spring Valley.

1:30 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 9W that occurred when the wheel of a car broke free and caused the vehicle to strike the median.

7:25 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 9W to a 50-year-old male from Croton-on-Hudson.

7:36 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 9W to a 22-year-old male from Saugerties.


Sunday, February 10
12:41 a.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident at the flagpole on Route 9W in which the driver hit a patch of ice and lost control of the car. The car spun around and went into a ditch, rolling over. No injuries.

9:13 p.m. Police respond to a report of a loud party.

9:30 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 9W to a 23-year-old male from Cornwall.
