Police Blotter: December 20-23, 2007

Thursday, December 20
12:05 a.m.  Police arrest Darin Johnson, 33, of Cornwall, for harassment following a dispute with neighbors over a gift card.
 
8:22 a.m.  Police respond to Cornwall high school where a window was broken by a spectator from Goshen after Goshen lost a basketball game to Cornwall.  Restitution was made by the person involved and the matter was handled administratively by the school.
 
9:30 a.m.  Police respond to a complaint by a resident of Clinton Street that a tractor-trailer had backed onto his lawn and spun its tires,  causing minor damage to the lawn.
 
1:37 p.m.  Police respond to Cornwall hospital to assist with a mental health patient who is refusing to take medications.
 
2:29 p.m.  Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 32 to a 27-year-old male from Middletown.
 
5:54 p.m.  Police respond to a report of a dead deer in the passing lane of Route 9W north.
 
6:22 p.m.  Police process a warrant from the town of Cornwall against Timothy Norton, 23, of Monroe.
 
8:41 p.m.  Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 32 with no injuries.
 
 
Friday, December 21
5:50 a.m.  Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 94 and Clove Road.
 
4:46 p.m.  Police issue two summonses for vehicle and traffic violations on Route 9W to a 32-yaear-old male from Cornwall-on-Hudson.
 
4:57 p.m.  Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Mineral Springs Road.  The driver of the car was issued a summons for operating the vehicle with a learner’s permit.
 
7:30 p.m.  Police respond to a report of a dead deer on the side of the road on Orrs Mills Road.
 
8:05 p.m.  Police respond to a disturbance between neighbors on Highland Avenue and arrest Carlos Colon, of Cornwall, for menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.
 
9:30 p.m.  Police execute a bench warrant against an 18-year-old male from Cornwall.
 
 
Saturday, December 22
8:45 a.m.  Police respond to a report of an injured deer on Jackson Avenue and dispatch the animal.
 
12:22 p.m.  Police issue a summons for an expired inspection sticker to a vehicle parked at the train station.
 
8:41 p.m.  Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident involving a village of Cornwall-on-Hudson police cruiser.
 
9:43 p.m.  Police investigate a report of vandalism to a car parked on Denniston St. while the driver was at a Christmas party.  A window on the Mercedes was broken and a leather work bag containing a stethoscope and other items was taken.  The car’s right windshield wiper was left standing straight up into the air.
 
9:58 p.m.  Police investigate a report of vandalism to a car parked on Denniston St. while the driver was at a Christmas party.  A window on the Jeep Cherokee was broken and a brown Coach briefcase containing a prescription pad and other items was taken.  The car’s right windshield wiper was left standing straight in the air.
 
10:41 p.m.  Police arrest 48-year-old Andre Walter of Ripton for driving with a suspended license.
 
11:18 p.m.  Police issue a summons for speeding on Route 32 to a 20-year-old male from Cornwall-on-Hudson.
 
 
Sunday, December 23
4:57 a.m.  Police respond to a complaint of a loud party on Clinton Street.
 
5:16 a.m.  Police clear a dead deer from the roadway on Route 9W.
