Dear Editor,
The Cornwall Lions Club would like to thank to Mayor Gross, members of the Village Board, village Clerk Jean Mahoney and village attorney Lion Howard Protter for their quick response to the Lion’s request to sell wreath and roping at the village bandstand this year.
Our annual Wreath and Roping sale is one of the Cornwall Lion’s three major fundraisers. The money we make enables us to continue promoting our main focus of eyesight, hearing, and diabetes programs. In the last two years the Lions Club has donated to over two dozen local causes, all made possible with funds raised with our three fundraisers.
The holidays are an especially busy time for the Cornwall Lions. Besides our Wreath and Roping Sale, the Cornwall Lions has a Christmas Gift program where Lions volunteer their time to shop for gifts for families who are experiencing difficulty. The Lions also wrap these gifts and deliver them to these families in our community. And don’t forget Santa’s visit to the Cornwall Hospital where he and his helpers deliver holiday flowers to patients who are away from their families at this time.
We want to thank our community members for supporting our Wreath & Roping sale. Our sale will be on the first three weekends in December. Saturdays at the village bandstand and Sundays at Clark’s corner on Main Street. Order forms are available on our website www.cornwalllionsclub.org for any residents unable to attend our sale. Local delivery available.
Happy Holidays.
Julia McGuire & Bill Rubnitz
