Monday, November 19
10:29 a.m. Police issue a summons for driving 74 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 32 to a 46-year-old male from Chester.
1:36 p.m. Police respond to a report of a juvenile patient at Cornwall hospital who was not co-operating with the faculty. A worker said the juvenile wouldn’t listen and kept wandering off. Police advise the youth.
4:46 p.m. Police respond to a domestic dispute between a husband and wife.
7:51 p.m. Police respond to a request from Blooming Grove police to check the area of Otterkill near the tressel for a white female possibly wanting to hurt herself. Police locate the woman walking directly above the road on the cat walk area of the tressel. Police call out her name and she responds saying she is walking down. Police meet her on the trail and she is transported to the hospital for observation.
Tuesday, November 20
8:36 a.m. Police observe a vehicle make an illegal u-turn on Route 9W and issue the driver, a 49-year-old male from Monroe, a summons.
9:28 a.m. Police issue a summons for driving 69 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 9W to a 26-year-old male from Highland Falls.
10:18 a.m. Police receive a wallet that was found outside of Prima Pizza on Main Street. Police contact the owner who says that he had $56 in cash and a debit card, which were all missing, but he is grateful to have the wallet back.
10:26 a.m. Police arrest 35-year-old A.O. Zerneri, 35, of Cornwall, for driving with a suspended license.
1:27 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving 55 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 32 to a 44-year-old female from Newburgh.
1:43 p.m. Police issue two summonses, one for driving 55 mph in a 40 mph zone and one for talking on a cell phone while driving on Route 32, to a 37-year-old female from Wake Forest.
2:18 p.m. Police issue a summons for failure to stop at a stop sign at Shore Drive and Route 94 to a 51-year-old male from New Windsor.
2:25 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving 55 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 94 to a 56-year-old male from Beacon.
2:33 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving 57 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 94 to a 23-year-old female from Greenwood Lake.
2:44 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving 56 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 94 to a 38-year-old female from Newburgh.
2:48 p.m. Police respond to the area of Willow Avenue school for a report of a possible rabid raccoon. The animal had gone into an open garage door where it was cornered by a loose canine. Homeowner was contacted and she responds to her home to control the canine and Sgt. Sinagra and Officer Thompson attempt to get the raccoon out of the garage. The raccoon was acting extremely strange and was aggressive with the police. Upon the raccoon finally exiting the garage, Sgt. Sinagra fires his Glock handgun but it doesn’t put the animal down. Sinagra advises Officer Thompson to retrieve his shotgun from his unit and to discharge one round of double “O” buck into the raccoon, which results in the instant death of the raccoon. Officer Orellana respond to the scene with two heavy duty trash bags so the raccoon could be bagged correctly and removed from the area.
4:07 p.m. Police assist McQuade group home with a child who ran away earlier in the day. The officer speaks with the child and convinces him to go back with the staff to the facility.
4:23 p.m. Police respond to a report of hunter’s too close to a residence on Otterkill Road and advise the hunters regarding regulations.
10:08 p.m. Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 9W near Continental Road.
Wednesday, November 21
7:35 a.m. Police observe a 64-year-old woman putting trash in the container owned by the town in the town hall parking lot and advise her that her action constitutes a crime. She says she will remove the trash and place it in the container.
8:58 a.m. Police respond to Academy Avenue for a report of a traffic sign down. Further investigation reveals that there are two signs that had been rutted from the ground as a result of an automobile striking them. Local repair shops are contacted to advise them of possible vehicle damage in the event someone tries to bring such damaged vehicle in for repairs.
9:23 a.m. Police issue a summons for failure to stop at a stop sign at Harris Lane and Willow Avenue to a 40-year-old male from Cornwall.
11:00 a.m. Police issue a summons for driving without a license and impound the vehicle of a 29-year-old male from Spring Valley.
11:30 a.m. Police take a report of a man who says that an unknown person withdrew $3,000 from his money market account and $1, 000 from his checking account at a bank in Maine.
12:48 p.m. Police respond to a domestic-custodial dispute.
2:36 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving 67 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 9W to a 29-year-old male from Port Jefferson.
3:06 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving 44 mph in a 30 mph zone on Route 32 to a 41-year-old male.
4:30 p.m. Police respond to a complaint from a resident of Tundra Terrace who says she was told that some children were playing street hockey near her vehicle and hit her windshield with the puck, causing it to crack. No description of the responsible parties was given.
4:35 p.m. Police respond to a domestic-custodial dispute.
4:54 p.m. Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Angola Road.
6:13 p.m. Police are called to investigate a burglary in which money was stolen from a residence on Beaver Dam Lake.
8:50 p.m. Police respond to a domestic-custodial dispute.
Thursday, November 22
12:09 a.m. Police investigate a case of criminal mischief in which the headlights were broken and the windshield smashed on a vehicle on Mill Street. The front license plate was also taken. The owner of the vehicle, a woman from New Windsor, says she has had no problems with anyone and doesn’t know who could have done it.
9:15 a.m. Police observe that the K-9 feces pick-up container had been ripped from its wooden post in Town Hall park.
1:34 p.m. Police investigate the larceny of a wallet taken from a car parked on Ryan Court in New Windsor.
4:44 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving 74 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 94 to a 17-year-old male from Blooming Grove.
5:54 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving 55 mph in a 40 mph zone of Route 94 to a 49-year-old female from Cornwall.
6:15 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving 51 mph in a 30 mph zone of Quaker Avenue to a 28-year-old male from Cornwall.
8:49 p.m. Police respond to a report of a possibly intoxicated woman operating a vehicle and alert village of Cornwall-on-Hudson police.
Friday, November 23
10:37 a.m. Police issue a summons for driving with an expired driver’s license and a summons for driving 53 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 32 to a 21-year-old male from Monroe.
10:57 a.m. Police issue a summons for driving 54 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 32 to a 63-year-old female from Highland Mills.
11:27 a.m. Police issue a summons for driving 54 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 32 to a 54-year-old female from Highland Mills.
11:44 a.m. Police issue a summons for driving 60 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 94 to an 81-year-old male from New Windsor.
12:07 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Quaker Avenue.
12:19 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving 57 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 94 to a 51-year-old male from New Windsor.
2:36 p.m. Police charge 24-year-old Julia Simon, of Newburgh, with driving with a suspended registration and without a driver’s license on Route 32 near Hannafords.
3:05 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving 55 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 32 to a 20-year-old female from Walden.
3:15 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving 55 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 32 to a 41-year-old female from Highland Mills.
6:54 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving without a rear tail light to a 21-year-old female from Cornwall-on-Hudson.
7:57 p.m. Polcie issue a summons for driving 64 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 9W to a 32-year-old male from Newburgh.
9:09 p.m. Police issue two summonses for vehicle and traffic violations on Route 94 to a 16-year-old male from New Windsor.
9:27 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation to a 20-year-old male from Cornwall.
10:00 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving 76 mph in a 55 mph zone on Taylor Road to a 47-year-old male from Washingtonville.

11:30 a.m. Police assist a dispute over property between a couple who recently broke up.
1:22 p.m. Police issue a summons for an expired inspection to a 64-year-old female from Cornwall.
1:58 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving 79 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 32 to a 23=year-old male from Highland Mills.
3:03 p.m. Police issue a summons for an expired inspection to a 33-year-old male from Cambridge.
6:18 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving with less than two lighted head lamps to a 41-year-old male from Salisbury Mills.
11:52 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Angola Road.

4:20 a.m. Police issue a summons for driving 70 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 9W to a 57-year-old male from Highland Mills.
4:33 a.m. Police issue a summons for driving 65 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 9W to a 30-year-old male from Suffern.
